Those of you who oppose Trumps solution to the Iran problem post your solutions here

I don't give a shit what hypocrites and partisans think Sassy.

I am only interested in what folks that have integrity have to write.

Keep proving to me that you aren't one of those.
Charlie is right, assuming we conduct this war the same way we did all the past ones.

We aren’t. No ground invasion. No plans to install a puppet regime. Just bombing their capabilities to launch attacks, and President Trump already took out their Dear Leader, something the other wars took many many years to accomplish.

You cannot say with a straight face we’re using the same playbook.

Agree. Politicians aren't in charge now. Professional Citizens are. This is the way it should be done.

Wow, talking about the Obama transfer to Iran. Nothing shows ignorance more than making that claim.

We are talking 1979 here. At the time, Iran was the number one buyer of US made military equipment. They were required to have a trust fund, in which money was drawn from as contracts progressed on military purchases. In other words, they had to pay up front. They had 400 million, on account, and that was confiscated and all military contracts were void.

Part of the negotiation of the hostage release was the agreement to allow the Trilateral commission to negotiate a settlement to Iran's legitimate claim to that 400 million dollars. And you can look it up, after years of negotiation is was ruled that the US owed Iran over three billion dollars. Obama actually negotiated that down to almost fifty cents on the dollar, talk about art of the deal.

But anyways, to me, the real problem is it was not the US Government that held that 400 million, it was the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. They held it for decades, and note this, all the private owners of a Federal Reserve Bank get paid 6% interest on all excess reserves. Paid to them, private citizens.
Which Iranian Government put up the money? Was it the theocracy that took over Iran in 1979 or the previous government? I would have been all for President Obama returning the money to the government that paid the US the $400M in 1979. Big difference. Also, what did that deal get US?

We aren’t. No ground invasion.
If there is no ground invasion, then what is the point?

The regime will reconstitute itself, and the only thing it will have learned is that where once they had the position that a nuke is not needed and against their philosophical leanings, they will obviously decide a nuke is needed now.

. . . and in the end, this will have been nothing but a loss of life and more debt for Americans.

The only way to effect a regime change, are boots on the ground.

1. Cut off military & economic support to Israel.

2. Prosecute Bibi and all those Zionists for genocide, or just "kill the entire gang (decapitate Zionist leadership) with airstrikes"
3. Incite and support liberal Israelis to demonstrate violently against their Zionist oppressor regime. - Regime change.

4. Return the stolen land to the Palestinians - confirm the souvereignity of the State of Palestine.
5. Till 1,2,3,4 is done - total economic boycott and sanctions against Israel.

After that, Israelis - can rightfully lay blame onto any anti-Israel action being undertaken by whoever.

You see, it's very simple.
Constantinople was Christian Land.

North Africa was Christian Land.

ALL STOLEN BY THE OTTOMANS.

I say we shove them all in the sea and take back the stolen land.

First lets state the problem
Iran has an offensive nuclear bomb program
Main sponsor of terror by use of proxies to destabilize the Middle east
Killed over 1000 Americans
Murdered 32000 of its own citizens
Funds Hamas Hezbollah and the Houthis terror
Intends to dominate the Middle East under one government them
Military Action Against Israel and Arab States
  • Direct Assaults: Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and suicide drones, targeting major population centers and infrastructure in Israel, including the city of Beit Shemesh and areas near Tel Aviv and Haifa.
  • Targeting Regional Allies: Iran has attacked nations across the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan, in response to their perceived support for the U.S.-Israel actions. These attacks have struck civilian areas, including hotels in Dubai and near Kuwait International Airport.
  • Maritime Threats: Iran has targeted shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, causing severe disruptions to vital trade routes.
  • Casualties: Reports indicate that Iranian strikes have resulted in at least 12 deaths in Israel and numerous casualties across the Gulf states.

Targeting U.S. Interests
  • Attacks on Bases: Iran has targeted U.S. military facilities across the Middle East, including the Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, and bases in Qatar and Kuwait.
  • Retaliatory Stance: Iranian officials have declared that all U.S. military bases and assets in the region are "legitimate targets" in response to the U.S.-Israeli strikes.

Long-Standing Aggression and Strategic Goals
  • Nuclear Ambitions: Despite the ongoing, direct conflict, the overarching driver of tension has been Iran's sustained pursuit of nuclear technology, which the U.S. and Israel have sought to dismantle.
  • Proxy Warfare: Iran has long utilized a network of armed groups—including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas, and the Houthis in Yemen—to project power and destabilize the region.
  • Support for Russia: Iran has provided tens of thousands of suicide drones to Russia for use in its war against Ukraine.

Now what is your solution

I say we let them build nuclear weapons and trust that they will do the right thing!

I am a democrat and I stand by this message!

I heard that their Nuclear Program was Obliterated.

Yeah, and now they are an imminent threat. It is bullshit. Wag the dog.

First, Iran has every right to the nuclear fuel cycle. They signed the NPT. Second, they have been operating under a religious fatwa that prohibits using that nuclear fuel cycle for military purposes. That said, there are a number of problems with the public's perception here.

The biggest one, the only reason Iran would need highly enriched uranium is for building nuclear weapons. That is incorrect. There are many medical uses for uranium enriched at a higher level than Iran was allowed to process. Yes, they could maintain a nuclear power program enriching at allowed levels, but not medical uses. At one time, part of the agreement was that France would supply them with the medical uranium.

But maybe the biggest thing. I don't know if this administration just has no ability to communicate, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand do, but it appears there was a deal on the table. Iran turns over all uranium, all equipment, and gets free uranium, even medical uranium, for life. They would take that deal in a minute if we could be trusted. We can't be.
