Those of you who oppose Trumps solution to the Iran problem post your solutions here

We are further along as an empire now. Many people are collecting checks and benefits, and the governments and pensions need to have the ways to do it. We control more oil and minerals for our empire. Then we can deal with China. China seems to be into organ harvesting in a huge way from a video I saw today. We need to know more about that.
I would certainly argue with further along as an empire. Do you really think the United States has the respect internationally that it did fifty years ago? I got to tell you, I was 14 during the Bicentennial, fifty years later, this is not where I expected this nation to be.

China, organ harvesting? I don't know what you saw, but I have heard the capital punishment is delivered by firing squad. Best way to preserve the organs. And why not? To me, capital punishment is immoral and barbaric, but hey, if you are going to go there might as well get some utility.

Yeah, and now they are an imminent threat. It is bullshit. Wag the dog.

First, Iran has every right to the nuclear fuel cycle. They signed the NPT. Second, they have been operating under a religious fatwa that prohibits using that nuclear fuel cycle for military purposes. That said, there are a number of problems with the public's perception here.

The biggest one, the only reason Iran would need highly enriched uranium is for building nuclear weapons. That is incorrect. There are many medical uses for uranium enriched at a higher level than Iran was allowed to process. Yes, they could maintain a nuclear power program enriching at allowed levels, but not medical uses. At one time, part of the agreement was that France would supply them with the medical uranium.

But maybe the biggest thing. I don't know if this administration just has no ability to communicate, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand do, but it appears there was a deal on the table. Iran turns over all uranium, all equipment, and gets free uranium, even medical uranium, for life. They would take that deal in a minute if we could be trusted. We can't be.

Real change is noticeable when Iranians don't have to sneak underground to attend dance party.

No, I have been around. At one time, before the revolution, Iran was the most progressive country in the Middle East. It really was a vacation destination, maybe think Cuba in 1950. There is so much history there. And do you know any Iranians? Anyone that speaks Farsi? I do, some of the finest people I have ever known.

I mean this really is like De Ja Vue all over again. North Korea. Vietnam. Iraq. Afghanistan. This is about money, and I don't know if we, I, my son, should jump on that train. Those "smart bombs", dropped in Iran. Little Bird told me it was 30 of them. Our production capacity, 100 a year. Don't know what we have in reserve.

See, they cast those missiles and their warheads. It is a complicated process, multiple steps, time consuming. My son, he can print them. Just hit print. That simple, he said he has been inundated with phone calls, emails, job offerings. But the scary part, the government wants the production rate to be a thousand a year, not a hundred. Why the fawk do we need a thousand a year. My daughter-in-law said it best, "Your missiles are going to kill us all".

Yes, Iran was a modern civilization before 1979. Hopefully, Iran will return to that culture.

Perhaps what you don't understand about international finance is, you don't get to keep a country's money because the leadership changed, or even the government itself. I mean we have been dealing with that in Afghanistan for years now, although it may now have been worked out.
Bullshit. You need to check your history. Are you siting International Finance or a law? Let’s see it.

First lets state the problem
Iran has an offensive nuclear bomb program
Main sponsor of terror by use of proxies to destabilize the Middle east
Killed over 1000 Americans
Murdered 32000 of its own citizens
Funds Hamas Hezbollah and the Houthis terror
Intends to dominate the Middle East under one government them
Military Action Against Israel and Arab States
  • Direct Assaults: Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and suicide drones, targeting major population centers and infrastructure in Israel, including the city of Beit Shemesh and areas near Tel Aviv and Haifa.
  • Targeting Regional Allies: Iran has attacked nations across the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan, in response to their perceived support for the U.S.-Israel actions. These attacks have struck civilian areas, including hotels in Dubai and near Kuwait International Airport.
  • Maritime Threats: Iran has targeted shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, causing severe disruptions to vital trade routes.
  • Casualties: Reports indicate that Iranian strikes have resulted in at least 12 deaths in Israel and numerous casualties across the Gulf states.

Targeting U.S. Interests
  • Attacks on Bases: Iran has targeted U.S. military facilities across the Middle East, including the Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, and bases in Qatar and Kuwait.
  • Retaliatory Stance: Iranian officials have declared that all U.S. military bases and assets in the region are "legitimate targets" in response to the U.S.-Israeli strikes.

Long-Standing Aggression and Strategic Goals
  • Nuclear Ambitions: Despite the ongoing, direct conflict, the overarching driver of tension has been Iran's sustained pursuit of nuclear technology, which the U.S. and Israel have sought to dismantle.
  • Proxy Warfare: Iran has long utilized a network of armed groups—including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas, and the Houthis in Yemen—to project power and destabilize the region.
  • Support for Russia: Iran has provided tens of thousands of suicide drones to Russia for use in its war against Ukraine.

On July 14, 2015, the P5+1 (China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States), the European Union (EU), and Iran reached a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to ensure that Iran’s nuclear program will be exclusively peaceful. October 18, 2015 marked Adoption Day of the JCPOA, the date on which the JCPOA came into effect and participants began taking steps necessary to implement their JCPOA commitments. January 16, 2016, marks Implementation Day of the JCPOA. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has verified that Iran has implemented its key nuclear-related measures described in the JCPOA, and the Secretary State has confirmed the IAEA’s verification. As a result of Iran verifiably meeting its nuclear commitments, the United States and the EU have lifted nuclear-related sanctions on Iran, as described in the JCPOA.
