This assumption that DEI lowers quality is racist. So is the assumption that qualified whites are always left out. Equal opportunity employment and advancement should not be shut down.

Less than 60 percent of the population is white. White men are 36 percent of the population but over 80 percent of the management/CEOs and it is NOT because white men are smarter than everybody else. As we see here with people like you, the opposite is more like the norm.

Whites like you cannot see the historical irony in your comments. Furthermore, whites haven't been discriminated against by these policies. And the claims you make relative to blacks being unqualified is judging people based on skin color. You can't see that due to your racism and ignorance.

The now ex Commandant of the puddle pirates er Coast Guard has been dismissed over failures to protect the country and DEI focus.
And it's high time. As a conservative white woman I have a work ethic and skill set that allows me to compete with men or anybody in several different disciplines and I have held a number of good jobs that traditionally were considered men only jobs. In some of those it was harder for me to gain acceptance and respect than it was for the guys, but I got there. And now competent qualified women are common in those fields.

However, to lower standards so that I can qualify for jobs that require strength, speed, agility etc. that I don't have and cannot realistically acquire makes no sense whatsoever.

Like the female DEI officer of the L.A. Fire Dept. when told most woman weren't strong enough to carry a man out of a burning building, callously replied: "He got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.”

And I could have kissed Bill Maher who also condemns these senseless, counterproductive, useless DEI programs. Addressing a comment that black people want people responding to their emergency to look like the, he very correctly pointed out that nobody gives a damn about the skin color of the person carrying him/her out of a burning building or whatever.

Equality means that ALL can compete regardless of their gender or skin color or ethnicity or whatever. But the standards should always be optimum ability and performance and never lowered so that the weak or otherwise incapable/incompetent people can compete.

The NFL could lower its standards so that this old lady could play professional football. But who would want to see that or certainly who would pay to see that?

DEI can be just that stupid.

Yep, she failed to stop those Santa Anas. A straight white man would have been able to stop the wind.
Nope. But competent people would have the reservoir fixed in a day, not remaining empty for almost a year, and they would have had those 100 fire engines out in the stations, instead of rotting away in a boneyard.

Actually, quotas have clearly discriminated against whites. That's what quotas were designed for.
