Thomas Massie loses Kentucky House primary to Trump-backed Republican challenger

That’s why the MAGA base fired him? Because he was soooo MAGA

Thats massie. Lets check out a "maga"

Freedom House’s 2026 report found the United States scored 81 out of 100, its lowest ever under the 1972–2002 Freedom House Freedom Index system The Economic Times+1. T

The difference between actual MAGA and trumpsters.

Who knew a FAGAt like you would really care. After all you are the party of Epstein. LOL
The former GOP, now the Trump Party is the party of pedophile, child rapists, & sex trafficker protectors for their outrage over Massie trying to get justice for the victims of the above. That race was the costliest HOR race in history thanks to the millions & millions of $$$ donated to Massie's opponent, some of the cash more then likely donated by the scum who were raping underage girls.

You & the cultists who applaud Massie's loss are no better then the evil uber wealthy scum who were raping minors.

Trump has split the libertarians/infiltrated democrats gang.

Go with the cray and find shit in your way.

Justice grinds slowly.

Hillary Clinton - The process is the punishment.
Donald Trump - Hold my Diet Coke.

I find that humorous considering trump tries to take control of private companies, and loves redistribution.

Trump has been protectionist and interventionist.

He uses tariffs, jawboning CEOs, threatening regulations, and in his second term, taking equity stakes or revenue shares in strategic sectors (chips, steel, minerals) for national security reasons, and that is the kicker.

Your critique of crony capitalism or government leverage over private firms? You can arguably, and with some weight, call some of that government control.

But.

It's not pure laissez-faire libertarianism. Tariffs are a tax on consumers/importers, sure... and protectionists on both sides like them, but they're not the same as expanding the welfare state or soaking the rich to grow government. 🤷‍♂️

And since I just gave you some props for actually sticking to reality, which is a Jewish trait... I still think that you don’t look (by reading your posts) broke from guilt or exhausted from arguing with your mother.

So, once again, welcome to the tribe...

...I guess.

He voted no on the FISA renewals. Is this a good or bad thing?

Trump was the victim of illegal FISA actions wasn't he?

Your politics are as confusing as hell. If Massie runs as a Libertarian candidate, he may cost the GOP the WH and FISA will find a new target...

Good.

Yes.

The rabbit hole runs deep.

He actively stood in the way of MAGA. Plenty of conservatives initially opposed Trump and the MAGA movement, only to lose their political battles and then run to the left for relevance/protection.

Trump won the popular vote, yet many entrenched politicians... on both sides of the aisle... remain fiercely against him.

They’re not defending principles; they’re protecting their own troughs and influence. These careerists are embedded in both parties, playing their roles as modern-day carpetbaggers.

I am confused. Per A.I. Is he trying to lose all of the Independents and Libertarians he picked up? This is a layup that is not popular anywhere in America:

Stance on FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act)

Donald Trump’s position on FISA evolved significantly during the 2024 campaign, largely influenced by his experience with the "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation.

  • Opposition to Reauthorization: During the debates regarding the renewal of Section 702 of FISA in early 2024, Trump publicly urged Republicans to vote against it. He famously posted on Truth Social: "KILL FISA, IT WAS ILLEGALLY USED AGAINST ME, AND MANY OTHERS."
  • Criticism of Surveillance: Trump argued that the FISA court process has been weaponized by the "Deep State" to target political opponents.
  • The Voting Split: Despite his opposition, the legislation eventually passed with bipartisan support. Trump’s stance highlighted a major internal shift within the GOP, moving the party from a traditional pro-intelligence, pro-surveillance position to a skeptical, civil-liberties-focused stance regarding the intelligence community.

Looks like Massie lost. Trump is on a winning streak.

This is actually the best news Dems could have hoped for for the midterms. Trump endorsed candidates may be popular among the MAGAt Republican voters in a state like Kentucky...but that's not representative of the broader electorate anymore.
MAGAt clinger-oners are not going to be enough to win elections anymore once you open the voting up to everybody else. In fact it's just the opposite now.
Trump's endorsement will be the kiss of death for candidates in November.
I wish Trump could send even more guaranteed losers to the midterm election in November!

Yes, that’s mostly accurate data for early 2024. Trump was furious about the abuses against his 2016 campaign (Crossfire Hurricane and the Carter Page FISA warrants).

He posted “KILL FISA, IT WAS ILLEGALLY USED AGAINST ME, AND MANY OTHERS” on Truth Social and urged Republicans to vote it down. This was, imho... knee-jerk gut stuff.

He later walked back the hardline “kill it” stance, saying reforms and more checks were needed. But after reviewing the issue further, especially once back in office, he concluded that Section 702 is too vital for national security and America’s survival to let it fully expire.

In his view, protecting the country comes first.

Real Americans mind their own phuking business and don't stick their noses between animals who have been warring for millennia.

It's not a "1" or "0" world, Corky.
Our own business includes destroying a country hell bent on deploying a nuclear device against us in their war against western civilization.

You either destroy them, or they destroy you.

We are the modern day Byzantium, whether you like it or not.

Who will protect his kids and grandkids in the future from facing similar abuses if there are no meaningful changes to this?

People complain about libertarians, but the key to our ideology is the root word "liberty". Are we going to violate these premises?

I always want to see America win but of late Trumps political instincts are off and the Neo-Cons know it, ready to replace his movement permanently in 2028. When that happens, his legacy will be written by the victors and it will not be fair or honest.

This is a layup that is not popular anywhere in America:
Trump isn’t running for another term, so he’s confident that history will ultimately judge him favorably.

()bama’s famous comment about using his “phone and a pen” after losing the midterms has left Trump far less worried about potential losses.

In today’s political environment, where norms are constantly being broken, he sees no reason why the traditional midterm curse has to apply, especially when he’s actively shaping the outcome and largely bypassing the usual political constraints.

Now you're getting emotional and talking about feelings. :nono:

That's the Canadian part. :dunno:

Libertarians endorsed a self described communist for the last presidential election. They are as far away from liberal, as you can get.
