I find that humorous considering trump tries to take control of private companies, and loves redistribution.

Trump has been protectionist and interventionist.

He uses tariffs, jawboning CEOs, threatening regulations, and in his second term, taking equity stakes or revenue shares in strategic sectors (chips, steel, minerals) for national security reasons, and that is the kicker.

Your critique of crony capitalism or government leverage over private firms? You can arguably, and with some weight, call some of that government control.

But.
