This Strike Is Trump's Fault

bobo every time a contract is ready to end one of the main claims of the union is they need a raise to keep up with things.....in some cases its true...others not as bad as they say...striking doesnt benefit anyone though,it hurts both sides...if it hurts the public they should not be able to strike...

So clearly this isn't one of those cases where you claim you're a liberal in other threads but I am never there to see it. LOL.

Hey, weren't you in a union? And a public union? Republicans hate those.

what i said is true dumbass....my union sought raises first everything else after....and still in that union bobo...what union are you in?...

Huh, when did Trump kick the governor of NY out?

The average salary for LIRR employees in 2023 was $127,588.

Look what Trump's tariffs and war in Iran is causing to all of America. Not just NY

Roughly 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Because of this, nearly 8 out of 10 people cannot comfortably afford their current housing or vehicles and lack the necessary funds to easily handle unexpected emergencies

More than 80% of households are currently priced out and cannot afford to buy a new home.

Everything Trump has done has added to the problem. Not fixed anything. I know this is going to be too much information for you but imagine if Trump was friendlier to China and got them to ship us a bunch of materials we need to build more affordable homes. Instead Trump started a trade war which made those materials cost more.

The combination of Middle East conflict—specifically the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz—and sweeping U.S. tariffs has severely disrupted supply chains, causing the price of housing materials to skyrocket. These factors are driving up input costs and inflating home prices.

what union do you belong to bobo?...

Union workers make about 15% more than their non union counterparts. I make about 15% more than union workers. Why would I be in a union? If my co workers tried to start one I'd vote no. Too small of a business and the owners aren't taking advantage of us.

I'm not arguing for myself. I can afford the high gas and everything else.

I was thinking about how I purchased my $200,000 condo on the lake for $56,000 years ago in the mid 90's.

This weekend my brother and I went up north for just Saturday and Sunday. I always drive myself but this time I let him drive me. 7 hours total round trip how much money did I save?

Hey, at least this is hopefully lowering the amount of gas we consume. I can't believe how many suckers are going to go on long trips this Memorial Day. I fortunately live on a small lake which means it doesn't take much gas to get me out to the middle of the lake and I don't have to drive to get to my vacation home. I live on it year round.

Why suddenly are these workers saying they can't afford to live on what they make? I thought Trump was going to make America more affordable for workers like this? Instead tariffs and Iran have raised the price of everything. Caused inflation. Republicans want to say Biden caused inflation but forget The first stimulus package under President Donald Trump was the CARES Act, a $2.2 trillion economic relief bill signed into law on March 27, 2020.
Let me know when you figure out how government works. The tariffs and the war are on Trump, the trillions that were spent on Covid are on both parties because both parties approved of the spending by almost 100% support. Even if Trump did not sign the bill Congress would most assuredly over ridden his veto. Also at that time, most Americans were asking for this bill to be passed. The bill Biden signed was much closer and had he vetoed the bill, that bill would have been dead. The 1.2 trillion in November or 2021 was again on Congress because had Biden vetoed the bill, the senate would have overturned the veto.

The problem isn’t the president alone, it is also Congress, which is how the constitution was set up. I do hold Democrats in Congress in 2022 responsible for another trillion in spending and I am thankful the Sinema and Manchin voted no on a $6 trillion spending bill that would have sent inflation even higher than the 9% we saw.

This issue now is, Trump needs to go in and finish his Iran mission and we need Russia and Ukraine to end their war so Russia and again send cheap LNG to Europe and stimulate the economy.

As usual, Democrats and Republicans are responsible for the situation we are in.
