Here is America almost 50% of the population has gotten at least the first Covid shot. The second Pfizer shot must be administered within 21 days for maximum effectiveness, Moderna within 28 days, So, what about Canada or England you ask?

This is a quote from a Canadian,

"Almost 1/3 of Canadians have had a first dose. However, with the 3rd wave, most of the country is still in lockdown. In Canada we are adopting a strategy of administering second doses to most at 3-4 months later as Health Canada have strong evidence pointing to better protection with the bigger gap and to get 70% effective first doses into as many people as possible as soon as possible."

This story being told to Canadian citizens is complete horseshit, They are lying. There is zero evidence that making people wait 3-4 months to get the second Covid shot is advantageous.

A quote from someone in England.

"Here in England it’s approximately a 12 week wait between Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines. International travel is prohibited at the moment except under certain circumstances. Everyone is hoping that will change come 17 May when the Government is hoping to lift that restriction. The airlines (and everyone else) are waiting to find out which countries will have the ‘green light’ for travel at that point should that be the case. However, it appears that many countries will only accept fully vaccinated visitors. With a 12 week wait between doses, that could pose a problem for some. "

So tell me why socialized medicine is better?

From what I've read, 21 and 28 days are the recommended gaps between doses, but waiting longer is better than getting a second dose early. On the other hand, 4 months is a long time, long enough that there isn't direct data to base that decision on, only extrapolation.

I found this when I looked up the Canada wait time: https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/canada-covid-19-vaccine-delay-risk-1.5939134

We are in deep trouble here. We may even have to have the NHL playoffs here in a bubble. The third wave is upon us, we are shut down right now until the end of May in Ontario even as our numbers continue to be near record highs.

I find it peculiar how so many in America want to copy our system.

Actually it is all based on assumptions. Our assumption is that taking them at these intervals gives you a longer window of protection but that window is only 9 months.

But all the data suggests it is still much more effective than what Canada and England are doing with their socialized medicine which is making people wait months for their second shot. .

Socialized medicine is better because it is more cost effective.

Socialized medicine COULD BE just as good as good healthcare in the US. There's nothing stopping a country pumping in more money.

The US spends about 17% of GDP on healthcare and the UK spends 9%.

If the UK were to spend more, then the system would be better than the US's system.

Beyond that socialized healthcare is better because EVERYONE gets treated. In the US some people have great healthcare, others die because they can't afford it. As if humans are like cars, oh, it broke down, get a new one.

Tons of stories about people suffering because of that system.

Big Pharma is the problem to begin with so we should start with that.

It isn't "socialism" just because something is done together with others. It isn't "socialism" to organize healthcare in a way that provides more services to more people less expensively.
It is propaganda to insist that such healthcare is "socialism".

I think the point about it being socialism is when people's own tax dollars have to go towards someone else who is sick. Maybe if people would learn how to be healthy and stop listening to big pharma we wouldn't need much use of the healthcare system in the first place. But you do make a good point anyway.

Sir please do speak to people from this countries. I visit many countries with universal health system, I have families that live in those countries, and we have the worst healthcare system and by faaaaaaaaar.
Millions have no health coverage.
Millions have to go bankrupt if they get sick.
Millions csmt afford certain procedures.
Life expectancy is thr lowest in thr industrial world.
We have the most expensive meds.

Just a little example,I did a procedure where it is free or a minimal cost in other countries the inssuramce had to pay 100k, some paid thousands in co-pay Here in the US, others couldn't afford it.

There are plenty of people who come here for life savings procedures because of expertise that can only be found in the US. That is what is generally lacking in these other countries. You can’t expect much nearly as much exceptionalism from doctors who aren’t rewarded in proportion for their work.
