The problem with Trump’s lies about Democrats being ‘to blame’ for alleged assassination attempt

No, its time Trump stopped inciting violence.

It's over. We're done. I hope Trump even makes the election, but I doubt it at this point.

Whatever. Devil take the hindmost.

‘First, the investigation into the alleged would-be shooter is just beginning. The idea that the former president can speak to the suspect’s motivations, in detail, is difficult to take seriously. Given the preliminary evidence, Ryan Wesley Routh’s politics were, to put it mildly, idiosyncratic, supporting Republican, Democratic and independent candidates — including, in 2016, Trump himself. To characterize him as some kind of lifelong Democratic partisan is a stretch.

Second, Trump clearly sees accusations that he’s a “threat to democracy” as beyond the pale, but, in reality, the Republican candidate really has endorsed an authoritarian-style vision that would undermine democracy. This assessment is based almost entirely on Trump’s own rhetoric and public statements. When the former president’s critics, in Democratic politics and elsewhere, accuse him of being a threat to democracy, their case is rooted in fact.

Third, these assessments aren’t just coming from the left. Trump’s own former defense secretary, Mark Esper, has described the former president as a “threat to democracy.” The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward, who remained neutral in every presidential race throughout his lengthy career, made an exception for Trump, calling him a “threat to democracy.” Retired federal Judge J. Michael Luttig, a giant of conservative jurisprudence, directly accused Trump and his allies of waging a “war on democracy,” adding that the former president is a “clear and present danger” to American democracy.

Fourth, if Trump genuinely believes that accusations about “threats to democracy” are beyond the pale, he should probably take a moment to explain why he keeps accusing people he dislikes of being “threats to democracy.” At last week’s presidential debate, for example, he pointed at his Democratic rival and declared, “They talk about democracy. ‘I’m a threat to democracy.’ They’re the threat to democracy.”
[…]
Trump doesn’t want to be criticized, and he would love nothing more than to bully Democrats into pulling their punches in the campaign’s final 50 days, even as he condemns them in increasingly hysterical terms. Many Republicans apparently want the public to believe that it’s dangerous to tell voters that a dangerous candidate is actually dangerous.’

Many Republicans are of course wrong – there’s nothing ‘dangerous’ about acknowledging the fact that Trump is a threat to democracy and unfit to be president.
You guys are so full of it

I dont think biden or harris had anything to do with the assassination attempt other than degrading the performance of the security detail through DEI

The woke Secret Service detail guarding trump in PA practically invited Crooks to open fire on Trump and it was a miracle that the bullet missed Trump by a mere 1”

If crooks was the only shooter who just wandered in off the street he may have been incited to kill trump thanks to rhetoric being spewed by the White House

And here we see a radicalized member of the MAGA cult.
Weird post, trump supporters aren’t trying to assassinate anyone

Glad you are willing to admit the difference between dembot threats to democracy and the rest of us

Don't be so stupid. Oh wait, you can't help it.

Of course some will if they're supporting the Democratic candidate.
I’m not the one trying to bend logic and reality to ignore harris supporters have been radicalized by demafasict propaganda to try and assassinate their political rival

He is none of those things. He is right. That's what he is. Now you can be stupid and continue to believe that since he didn't do the things we are talking about in his last presidency, or you can listen to the more than 40 members of his administration who are telling us that trump is indeed a danger to our democracy.
im talking about jones ...how he is....not fucking trump or those 40 guys.....jones is a bigot and he is a fucking hypocrite...if he was a republican you would have agreed or not even commented on this...

That's actually NOT CONSERVATIVE.

CONSERVATIVE FOREIGN POLICY is NON INTERVENTIONALIST

In fact, given it was off a false flag hate hoax that murdered thousands of innocent Americans to justify selling out our troops to fight and die for the cause of "Greater Israel," W's foreign policy was indeed THE MOST LIBERAL in US History.

W's FATHER had CONSERVATIVE FOREIGN POLICY and DID THE RIGHT THING by KEEPING US OUT OF IRAQ

WRONG!!!! Republicans never saw a foreign nation they didn't want to bomb. "Better dead than red" wasn't just a bumper sticker.

No, you're the one who denies you're part of a Cult. What's a "demafascist"????

Trump is being shot at by his former supporters who realize he lied to them. Unleash the whirlwind, and it can back and destroy YOU.

because he lied to them?.....if that was the mind set of these people every politician out there is in danger, because they all fucking lie...

That is complete bullshit.

WW2 = Dem
Vietnam = Dem
Ukraine = Dem

Trump is being shot at by his former supporters

Laughable.

The people trying to off Trump are the 911 crowd (and the homO crowd that covered up 911 in exchange for KEEPING THE CLOSET DOOR SHUT), and there was absolutely nothing "conservative" about them...

Michelle Obama gives George W. Bush a great big hug and the internet ...

Indeed, not only did W do absolutely nothing CONSERVATIVE while in office, he has done nothing but endorse DEMOCRATS since.

Maybe they are former supporters, but today they have been radicalized by the demafasict who run your cult, and been conned into donating to ActBlue, and believing the only way to beat trump is to “put him in the bullseye” (xiden’s order)

That’s the problem.

LOL!!!

The 911 crowd saying those things, they not only are a "danger" to American democracy, they have actively WAGED WAR against AMERICA for at least the past quarter century.

Why did homO refuse to re-open the 911 investigation?

Most of ActBlue's donations come from overseas, Soros and the WEF crowd.

Wow Mrs. Jones....be careful, some nutbag dimtard doc is going to put you on a ventilator to get rid of your leftyvirus TDS. You are totally off your rocker now.

Trump is losing, and he knows it. He has to say outrageous, and factually untrue things, to have the news cycles focused on that, and not his failure as a President, a failure as a businessman, and a failure as a man.

312 to 226.....Trump isn't losing at all doofus.
