The situation is just the reverse. I am saying that when you highlight a persons race as a relevant point in the discussion? It makes you appear dumb.
Why, when you told this story, did you even mention the race of the two people involved? If you had told the same story, but left race entirely out of it, what would the forum have thought, what would the discussion have been? If in her mind, she had just thought of herself as a person, and the neighbor as a person, and thus, the implications of a neighbor, asking a new neighbor, if they are a visitor?
Sophisticated, non-racist folks don't care about race. Folks that have been conditioned by the ruling elites only care about religious, racial, class, and other diviouns, they are always looking for a reason to hate and be suspicious of their fellow citizen. Study the history of the Soviet Union, or the way the E. German government turned it's citizens on one another.
