"Third assassination attempt" says Trump supporting sheriff. Then releases man.

Vem Miller, apparently a far right anti-government dude, had a fake VIP pass and fake passports and guns (we know the right doesn't like guns) and he was supposedly on his way to a Trump rally (I mean, the VIP pass suggests he was).

So, a dude who wants to kill Trump, what does the Trump supporting sheriff do? Releases the dude.... on $5,000 bond.
One would think he should be held for a longer amount of time to investigate if he was part of a larger plot.

Did the sheriff do the releasing? Did the sheriff set the bail bond amount?

Don't get me wrong, I'm positively ebullient that Trump's personal security has clearly improved.

But word has it that the guy is out on bail for $5K.

With a court date of 1/2/2025.

WTF???

Absolutely disgusting.

I'm so sure that if this were Biden or Kackles, it would be the exact same situation.

RIGHT?
Some sheriff at the event made a wild speculation that it was a third assassination attempt, probably on the same level as saying the flour, margarine, and sugar in my kitchen cupboards is a cake. Reading the BBC link, the guy was a nut job.

sheriffs dont set bond ..once bond is met the sheriff office has no choice but to release the prisoner .. judges and magistrates set bond .. who was the judge that set this ridiculous bond ?

There's your first fuckin' mistake.

No one will ever take you even remotely seriously again.

Good job.
Oh god, are you a third assassination believing fruit loop? The US is full of nut jobs and fruit loops.

It was a Trump superfan, a sovcit. Hence the kid-glove treatment.

He wasn't after anyone. He just assumed he was allowed to haul his gun collection anywhere. In California. So now he's got some firearms charges.

You're foreign fat.
Lol. Foreign fatties look anorexic stood next to you!!

Why does your mentally ill brain think this was an assassination attempt? I'm just interested in the clinical psychology side of things, trying to understand the patients.

Note to the loser, judges set the bond amount, not the sheriff. I just want to know why the US Marshalls didn't take him into custody.
