And I remember one of the biggest things of all!

  • EVERYTHING ACTUALLY BEING CLOSED ON SUNDAYS and people using the day to go to church, see family and take trips.
If you needed something on a Sunday, you were shit out of luck.

Same goes for holidays.
 
Drive-in Movies are gone
Rare but not gone. There are drive-ins in Colville, WA and McMinnville, OR. I believe there are 16 in CA, 5 in WA and not sure how many total in OR or ID. But they are nowhere near as prevalent as during their heyday.

yeah I kinda recall ben franklin now you mentioned it as a kid
 
When all the bumpers lined up, and you could push friends home with a car if they ran outta gas.
