Things a bit warm back East

That's the beauty of the internet, there's tons of geologic data out there that isn't controversial and can be used to learn about our climate.
Yes, I understand middle schoolers do reports on it sometimes.

But I will still defers to the experts over middle schoolers and uneducated slots on message boards.

You should, too.

I'm not in middle school. I'm a highly educated engineer who has studied paleo-climates for over 20 years. It's funny that you would argue for blind acceptance for anything. But what is even funnier is that you yourself reject mainstream science that the universe had a beginning and that life begins at conception. Hypocrite much?

Woo hoo. It's the January Thaw. And nowhere does it say it has to happen in the same week every year, in all states, or even necessarily happen in January or even happen at all. It's just a tendency that in general can be loosely expected around this time of year. Woo hoo. 🤪

You have zero education or experience in any related field and are not to be taken seriously.

I will continue to defer to the people who have dedicated their lives to the relevant sciences.

Because I am not an embarrassing dipshit.

What part of I have studied paleo-climates for over 20 years did you not understand? It's not what I say, it's what the data says. But what you are really saying is that no one should ever question authority except you.

let me ask you how do you know the Jurassic was warmer and wetter without using the oxygen isotopes

Surface Air Pressure
The simple physics of releasing the gas trapped in ice today
The simple physics of warming oceans = more rain = wetter

How does the Oxygen isotope ratio respond to volcanic eruptions on Antarctic peninsula???

LOL!!
It was awesome setting that hook into you. So funny.

It was so funny walking you into that trap.

Ah yes, another very simple minded person, LOL.

It was sarcasm!

You now agonize over warm weather in the west while ignoring record cold and snow in the east that is why you are getting the flack.

Thus it is YOU who is very simple minded person....

It was so funny how you touted data that you had previously called fudge.

That's not the only indicator of Jurassic being warmer, moron.

Warmer, Wetter, Higher Surface Air Pressure....

so as Earth warms, it gets wetter and SAP goes up....

PROBLEM FOR CO2 FRAUD - SAP not going up = EARTH NOT WARMING

It's so funny that you are relying on data you call fudge.

15th post
That happened here in Kansas over the holidays.

They talk about "christmas in July" well we had "July in christmas".
Back in Kansas in the 1970s and 80s, temps of 70 degrees or more at some time in January were common in north central Kansas. Nothing unusual there.

And given how short a time we have been tracking and keeping data on Earth temperatures, it is probable that there will be record heat and record cold somewhere on the planet every single day that goes by.

Record highs today for millions of people in the midwest and east. Most 20 degrees or more above normal. Even the lows exceeding the average temperatures for much of the area. In January during a La Nina. Hey EMH, you were happy to post about lows in Tennessee a while ago, why are you not posting on the present highs? LOL

Do you have an update about those record highs in the east? Because I think there may have been low temperature records that got broken over the weekend.

Here is what the data says;

That is normal in a changing climate. The warming of the Arctic creates a very loopy jet stream, which brings much colder weather further south, and at the same time, warmer weather to the Arctic.
