These fuel prices are ridiculous

Yes, when he left 8 years later. That inflationary period lasted from Nixon until the end of Reagan....We have had only one year and you guys are whining like you actually can't afford a Spam sandwich. Do you people hire professional criers to put on a show in public?

Spam is nasty but yeah produce is way up in prices.

Not all Biden's doing since Biden doesn't control the oil or gasoline industries..Mizzouri raised gasoline taxes also.
/----/ For the one-thousandths time: DEMENTIA JOE STOPPED THE PIPELINE, AND BANNED FRACKING ON FEDERAL LAND. TWO THINGS TRUMP DID THAT MADE US ENERGY INDEPENDENT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 60 YEARS. JOE'S EOs ENDED ALL OF THAT. But, hey, no more mean tweets. I'm sure the working class poor don't mind shelling out more money to buy gas and heating oil.

$45 a barrel under Trump.....yesterday: $82.14

Great weren't the 2021 prices the price when Trump left office?

So Trump fucks it up and you bitch the Biden can't fix a Trump fuck up quicker...

Same routine from the GOP crew.. This was the same with Bush and Obama...

Lets just look at Wheat Prices... Trump got Wheat at $4.21, he gave it back at $6.72, It is now at $7.49...

So Trump over saw $2.50 increase and left it on the the way up (increased by over a dollar in last year), Biden has seen it increase by 70 cent...

By the way Trump or Biden have little to no control over these prices...

Little to no effect on oil prices... If you think it does, go educate yourself...

You are coming here hoping you can find people who have as much ignorance of the facts as you do...

Yes but Biden doesn't control the world oil supply which still makes you a moron also.
Of course he doesn't any fool knows that BUT even you have to admit if 25% of oil/gas comes from
Federal lands AND the idiot has a moratorium on exploration leases where do you think the FUTURE
oil and gas will come from? DUH!!!
The federal share of total U.S. crude oil production fell from its peak at nearly 36% in 2009 to less than 24% in 2017 at the same time overall production increased.

then why did prices go up?

Yet the Nixon, Ford, Carter and Reagan years were much worse with much higher inflation.
lol... that's a lie, the Reagan years saw "deflation" [a term the gop mockingly used in the 80's] gas/oil was cheaper when he left office than when he took office, tax cuts drove up wages, profits and tax receipts and Reagans peace through strength evoked the phrase "peace is breaking out everywhere"
" In fact in 84 Reagan said on television, when you go to the polls to cast your vote just ask yourself "are you better off now than you were 4 years?" then he went on to win 49 states, his was the presidency that knocked liberalism off its pins after two decades of debauchery and the left is still reeling from it.

all the left has left is the media and that is steadily being eroded away...liberalism has many qualities that should be enacted, but none should even be considered until POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is dead.

The oil from the tar sands is still being transported into the US for processing, one stupid pipeline is not going to stop fuel or oil from flowing that is done by the extractors and refiners of which are not under govt. control. If you have a beef jump the capitalist since they are in control of production. There is no shortages of oil or gas in the world since the futures market sets the price for oil. The US became an major producer of oil during Oblama well before Trump was elected.

Despite the U.S. becoming a net petroleum exporter, most regions are still net importers

Yes, deflation occurs when economic activity declines and inflation falls below zero which is not good either.

Why Is Deflation Bad for the Economy?

/------/ Good idea. I did do some research to edumafacate myself.
According to the Independent Petroleum Association of America, hydraulic fracturing has helped boost the rate at which oil and gas can be extracted from wells, particularly in the United States.1 Some economists argue that by increasing the current available supply, fracking helps to lower oil prices on a global scale;

Other Factors to Consider

Frondel and Horvath did find that increased U.S. oil production due to fracking reduced oil prices. The authors conjectured that oil prices would have been around 40 to 50 dollars per barrel higher if the U. S. fracking boom had not occurred.2
