Theories on how to efficiently run an economy

I don't believe allowing corporations to buy out all of their competition and the few(big corps) in the market place to work together to close the market is good for efficiency of our economy. If you're going to reject everything of the 20th century get ready to be poorer then dog shit!!! Most of you dumb sub-iq'ed white males wouldn't be running the few big corps anyways. The few that don't screw around on message boards will.
So you have answered your own question. The 20th century is gone and is replaced with 21st century technology. The new owners of the new technology will decide who and what you are. Hehehe.

Are you saying that something vital such as national defense could do this? On paper maybe, but in practice I doubt it. Complexity of supply chains seems to work against it, and if done, the end result would be a turning of one of them into a bank. Even as little as a company pension deal has turned the three US car makers into investment banks.
It's possible.

Besides, Murica was never supposed to have the immense standing military it has today. It was supposed to be defended mostly by the state militias, who would be called into regular Army service if an invasion warranted it. So the supply chain argument is kind of moot.

What does any of this have to do with private credit, anyways?
If moot, then why was one false Mexican telegram enough to get decisive domestic public popular support, to flip America upside down and enter it into ww1-2 with no return to this day?

I don't understand how one relates to the other.

Australia is also unique in that it had no history. Where there is history, socialism starts with a genocide. This makes it an unacceptable propositions.

Companies doing credit deals with each other is simple. But with a complex supply chain, such as a national industry sector, this becomes impossible. Even banks work through credit swap trades and currency swaps, and such. If you try to replace banks, you just end up with something else that works exactly like a bank.

I think Australia is a pretty good example of a combination of socialism and capitalism working together. It's really the smartest way to do things, IMO. Why do we have to choose? Why not both? :)
Right. There are really no, as in zero, entirely capitalist nations. They would be known as Libertarian countries, which have never existed in the real world.
The us is furthest leaning toward capitalism, but still has a good deal of socialism here. Clowns like ed like to suggest that only libertarianism, or laissez faire capitalism is desirable. But can not answer why, if that is the case, there are none and never have been any such nations that got beyond infancy. Like communism, the people do not like the pure capitalist economic system. Never have, never will.

It seems like a whole lot of conservatives are completely against any tax monies going to help the poor. That is so disappointing. I think it's a very important part of a successful economy/country to make sure your poor people are fed and clothed. I can only imagine how horrible things could be here in the US if some conservatives had their way.
I think that conservatives like I think, that the best way to stay rich is to prevent others from doing the same, which is best done by starving them.

You just said it's impossible, then explained how it is possible.

If you got a BA in economics I would ask for my money back, again fool 3% of workers make minimum wage almost 50% of workers make $15 bucks or less you think the $15 dollar worker will be getting a $7 dollar an hour raise? Of course not

You are not doing a Damn thing by raising the national minimum wage.

Trickle up poor, trickle up misery
no. Raising the minimum wage is the best way to clear the debt that individual Americans love to pile onto themselves daily. With every new student loan sold, and every new free credit balance transfer authorized, we need one penny increase on the minimum wage, to balance out that cash flow. In other words, when the government is your automated underwriter, then it also must be your automated money printer. otherwise you will repeat the 2009 credit crashes progressivelybigger, worse, and faster.

No way, it makes you think you have more wealth but it just another number for a 25 cent minimum wage
It inflates money so it clears unpayable debt. Nasty indeed, but there may not be anything else around today to balance the blind automatic federal underwriting machine.
So we got a major problems
Global problems like naffta and free trade

The enemy with in raising minimum wage with out a back lash of company's relying on automation and leaving

We have a back will have riots in the streets if a burger flipper snot nose kid makes as much as a cop on the streets
Garbage collectors already make higher union wages than policemen. Yes, well, the majority and the trend is larger and larger private waste companies. Police are almost always public. So, did you have a point? And shutting down global trade, which has never been free, will not change a thing, because any buyer can go to any other country to replace you. If we allow it. I think the key is currency valuation. And reserve currencies are always valued higher than their productivities, so isolationism works always against the workers in the reserve currency countries, such as the "basket of five" . Got proof??

It is still impossible. There is no corporation that doesn't rely on bank credit extensions to keep operating. All the above are just side deals for them.

You can't control buyers. Especially not foreign buyers. They operate on a who knows who basis, a strict network of cartels and syndicates. If you shut down one, they have the power to replace it with another, globally. As for the proof of currency valuations, see e.g. the dollar price of the Indian rupies before and after India's software revolution. It is still valued lower at least by a factor of six, to keep the Bangalore Silicon Valley in Bangalore.

I have never seen a conservative support tax plans of any kind. Just lowering them. What drives them nuts is that their hero raised taxes several times after his great 1982 tax cut and resultant killing of government programs drove the unemployment rate to 10.8%. Then, after finding himself in heavy trouble with voters, Reagan raised taxes, and spent more than all presidents before him combined. Tripled the national debt.
But today, nearly all republican congressmen have signed a promise to never increase taxes under any circumstance. They never, ever vote for anything that increases taxes.
Nearly all the GOP candidates bow down to Grover Norquist

Also, I have never heard a republican have a problem when the poor suffer. From the start of the great recession of 2008, republicans blocked every single attempt to pass bills to help the situation. And with unanimous support by all republican congressmen. And they put forward exactly zero bills to help. Zero. So, they are the party of the 1%. And to hell with the working class.

Rep. Lynn Jenkins blames Harry Reid for 'do-nothing Senate

Sure, there are always jobs available, but they aren't for everyone. Meanwhile, many higher education graduates are finding themselves unable to get anything but menial jobs:
Drop in U.S. temp workers signals tough job market for new grads

Richard Branson, Virgin entrepreneur and new owner of Northern Rock believes businesses should transform themselves along ethical lines:
Richard Branson: 'Capitalism has lost its way'

That's why college exists, TO MAKE THOSE JOBS FOR YOU. When you apply for a job, you're selling those services. when a service doesn't suit its own intentions, in this case that being applying for certain jobs, they either target a demographic that better suits it, or they change their service to fit the demographic its targeting. Blaming businesses for not finding what they want in certain people when, honestly, businesses are owned by individuals with free will, who should be allowed to choose who they do or do not hire, when they hire, whether they hire at all, and what they do with their money, is just silly.

I believe the key issue always comes back to money. I know you don't have a lot of bandwidth, but here's to hoping that one day you can watch the documentary in the opening post of this thread, Money as Debt. The reason I think it's so important to understand how money is created is simple- in today's society, the fact of the matter is that he who makes the money tends to make the rules, and the banks make most of the money. This is why Wall Street had a ball at tax payers expense during the Bush administration -and- during the Obama administration. And it brings up the most important point of all- if you steal your money from taxpayers, which is something wall street has become adept at, is it really your money? And if you then loan that money out to other corporations, is it really -their- money? No, it's not. It belongs to those who earned it with the sweat of their brow. I know that you love blaming Obama, and you aren't too happy about Bush either, but the fact of the matter is, they're both just puppets dancing to the bankers' tune when it comes to the economy. They may not even realize it, but the effect is the same, so long as they follow the script the bankers want them to follow.

For those who haven't seen the Money as Debt documentary, it can be seen here:

For a well done documentary on the Wall Street crash of 2008, I highly recommend Inside Job, the trailer of which can be seen here:

Of course Lynn said that. She is, after all, a republican member of the house of representatives. Do you always pick such impartial sources, me boy?

Are you dancing your happy dance, me boy? You should not be. You are about to strike out.
What I said, me poor stupid con troll, is that republicans put NO BILLS FORWARD to address the great republican recession of 2008. No lie at all. They put lots of bills forward to help their friends, the wealthy. Now, do you want to show which bill is not to help the wealthy but to do something about their very own recession.
I am still looking for one. Which is why you can show no bill that was meant to address their very own great recession. Just business issues for the congress and wet kisses for the wealthy. Dipshit.
Thing is, for all rational minds, the problem started when we were loosing hundreds of thousands of jobs per month at the end of Bush W's administration. Remember:

The passage of the jobs bill represents a great victory for President Obama, a huge triumph for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and a tremendous moment for the smart Republican senators, Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine. It is a crushing blow for the do-nothing, obstructionist, recession Republicans who are betting against America."
Republican Death March: Betting Recession Continues and America Fails

Then, on the very eve of Obama's inauguration, there was the meeting by republicans where they came to an agreement to never allow Obama to win at any time. Whether it helped the workers of the country or not, they agreed to always stop any bill that obama wanted:

"Attending the dinner were House members Eric Cantor, Jeb Hensarling, Pete Hoekstra, Dan Lungren, Kevin McCarthy, Paul Ryan and Pete Sessions. From the Senate were Tom Coburn, Bob Corker, Jim DeMint, John Ensign and Jon Kyl. Others present were former House Speaker and future – and failed – presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and the Republican strategist Frank Luntz, who organised the dinner and sent out the invitations.
The dinner table was set in a square at Luntz's request so everyone could see one another and talk freely. The session lasted four hours and by the end the sombre mood had lifted: they had conceived a plan. They would take back the House in November 2010, which they did, and use it as a spear to mortally wound Obama in 2011 and take back the Senate and White House in 2012, Draper writes.

"If you act like you're the minority, you're going to stay in the minority," said Keven McCarthy, quoted by Draper. "We've gotta challenge them on every single bill and challenge them on every single campaign."
The Republicans have done that, bringing Washington to a near standstill several times during Obama's first term over debt and other issues."
The Conspiracy to Commit Legislative Constipation

Reoublicans voted for no helpful bills, voting in mass against several. And they brought no such bills to help the situation forward. Because they wanted the recession to go on. They cared not at all about the middle class or the unemployed of this country. They were, in short, unamerican.
So, prove me wrong. Find that bill meant to help that Republicans tried to put forward. And show us all they gave a damn.

Again fool it was a conspiracy to stop obama care, No, me boy. Read the articles. There are many, many of them. All say exactly what I said. They agreed to stop anything that Obama tried to pass. Period. minimum wage laws and all Obama's other studio ideas to slow down and crash the economy some more in a disaster area.
So, you agree with them. Anything that obama wanted, they should stop. Got it.

It is true republicans passed 100s of job bills and democrats got paused 30 of their own ,You lie a lot, eh. They passed none of their own jobs bills. Zero. And they blocked every bill that dems put forward. Every single one. it is true Reid and the communities stalled them and most didn't see the light of day for a vote. Reid stopped exactly zero jobs bills, me boy. That would be none at all. You see, what you seem to be ignorant of, among many other things, is that republicans owned the senate which reid used to preside over. And they could have brought anything they wanted to a vote. They refused to bring any to a vote, me lying con troll.

the republicans did what their voters asked them to do stop obama and Reid did what he did stall any and all bills so Obama didn't have to Veto them in front of the public.
Again the republicans owned the senate. Reid was able to do nothing, me poor ignorant con troll. You are really, really ignorant, me boy. And, dipshit, the president, Obama, is not part of congress. He could do nothing but watch.
The meeting to stop every thing that obama did was not in front of any voters. It was, me boy, a secret meeting. Dipshit. Read the articles. Everyone but con trolls knows what happened. Try to catch up.

Now, since you say that republicans brought a hundred bills up to be voted on, bills that would have been considered jobs bills, lets see one. They would be on record if they existed. So it would be simple, if they existed.
And no, a bill to approve a pipeline is not a jobs bill. Dipshit.

In the "do-nothing Senate," there are 352 House bills "sitting on Harry Reid’s desk awaiting action," including 55 introduced by Democrats.

Rep. Lynn Jenkins blames Harry Reid for 'do-nothing Senate
Remember:

"Republican Death March: Betting Recession Continues and America Fails

By Brent Budowsky

Again fool it was a conspiracy to stop obama care, minimum wage laws and all Obama's other studio ideas to slow down and crash the economy some more in a disaster area.

It is true republicans passed 100s of job bills and democrats got paused 30 of their own , it is true Reid and the communities stalled them and most didn't see the light of day for a vote.

the republicans did what their voters asked them to do stop obama and Reid did what he did stall any and all bills so Obama didn't have to Veto them in front of the public
Still want to claim republicans didn't pass a single bill with democrats in a bipartisan manner? And still ignore my claim that Obama's henchman held them up?

Here are just 10 of them, ranked in order of bipartisan support:

 • The Hire More Heroes Act(H.R. 3474) passed the House on March 11, 2014, with support from 183 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The Success and Opportunity through Quality Charter Schools Act (H.R. 10) passed the House on May 9, 2014, with support from 158 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The Innovation Act (H.R. 3309) passed the House on December 5, 2013, with support from 130 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Protection Act (H.R. 624) passed the House on April 18, 2013, with support from 92 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The American Research and Competitiveness Act (H.R. 4438) passed the House on May 9, 2014, with support from 62 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The America's Small Business Tax Relief Act (H.R. 4457) passed the House on June 12, 2014, with support from 53 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The Domestic Prosperity and Global Freedom Act (H.R. 6) passed the House on June 25, 2014, with support from 46 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The S Corporation Permanent Tax Relief Act(H.R. 4453) passed the House on June 12, 2014, with support from 42 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The Coal Residuals Reuse and Management Act (H.R. 2218) passed the House on July 25, 2013, with support from 39 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.
 • The Small Business Capital Access and Job Preservation Act (H.R. 1105) passed the House on December 4, 2013, with support from 36 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing.

15th post
Looking at that list what frickin bills did they obstruct on that you wanted them to pass?

Obama care it got passed and they fought on it.

What bills?

Hire a felon?

A $100,000 for every poor person?

I strongly believe that everything everyone does are spurred by 2 motivations: the wish to maximize their happiness and minimize their unhappiness. Would you agree with that philosophy?

And most people wish to maximize their happiness by limiting themselves to a meaningless life, and a meaningless death.

I believe that all people choose paths that they believe will be most advantageous to their sense of self- what will make them happiest, or atleast what will minimize their pain. Do you agree with this?

Have you ever had a friend who has lived in a shelter? I have. I think if you had, you would not be talking this way about a fellow human being. Society, as a general rule, shies away from the types of things you have said above. As a matter of fact, I frequently think they go too far the other way, with assisted suicide being illegal in most parts of the world. The U.S. has only 4 U.S. states where assisted suicide is definitely allowed:

No, I've never had anyone I consider a friend. Having a 'friend' in a shelter wouldn't change my mind, anyway.

We've now talked more, and you have told me that you have had some online friends. You say that even if you had a 'friend' in a shelter, it wouldn't change your mind- why the quotes around the word friend? Is it that you don't believe you could possibly have a friend who was in a shelter?

So you say. But I could believe you, or believe Time magazine, The Hill, or many other expert sources. Since you have no credentials, you loose. And are lying like a rug. The fact is that there is no such thing a a studio idea, dipshit. Except in your addled brain.

It is true republicans passed 100s of job bills and democrats got paused 30 of their own , it is true Reid and the communities stalled them and most didn't see the light of day for a vote. No, it is a lie. Which is why you have no proof. Read the sources and try to learn something. Being less ignorant is always a good idea.

the republicans did what their voters asked them to do stop obama and Reid did what he did stall any and all bills so Obama didn't have to Veto them in front of the public
Still want to claim republicans didn't pass a single bill with democrats in a bipartisan manner? No, because I did not say that they did not, dipshit. I said they did not pass a single jobs bill. JOBS, dipshit. Look the word up. And still ignore my claim that Obama's henchman held them up? They did not, me boy, because they did not after January of 2014. Senate and the house were both under republican control. Jesus, you are stupid.

Here are just 10 of them, ranked in order of bipartisan support:
But none are jobs bills, of course. So you could not find a jobs bill and instead inserted several republican bills having nothing to do with the great republican recession of 2008. Very dishonest, dipshit.

 • The Hire More Heroes Act(H.R. 3474) passed the House on March 11, 2014, with support from 183 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. You, nor I, have any idea what this is about except politicians patting themselves on the back. Hiring heroes seems like a good idea. But it does not increase jobs. It simply suggest that when you hire, hire heroes. Not a jobs bill.
 • The Success and Opportunity through Quality Charter Schools Act (H.R. 10) passed the House on May 9, 2014, with support from 158 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. Uh, a favorite subject of republicans, charter schools aimed at the wealthy, but not a jobs bill.
 • The Innovation Act (H.R. 3309) passed the House on December 5, 2013, with support from 130 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. Again, nothing to do with jobs, me poor ignorant con troll.
 • The Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Protection Act (H.R. 624) passed the House on April 18, 2013, with support from 92 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. Again, this was a bill that had nothing to do with jobs. It is aimed at protecting cybersecurity. Obviously.
 • The American Research and Competitiveness Act (H.R. 4438) passed the House on May 9, 2014, with support from 62 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. Nothing to do with jobs, so that would be, dipshit, not a jobs bill.
A bill to promote freedom and wealth. Not a jobs bill, again.
 • The S Corporation Permanent Tax Relief Act(H.R. 4453) passed the House on June 12, 2014, with support from 42 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. A bill to reduce income taxes for the wealthy who use S corporation accounting methods. Again, not a jobs bill, just a bill to increase the wealth of the wealthy.
 • The Coal Residuals Reuse and Management Act (H.R. 2218) passed the House on July 25, 2013, with support from 39 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. A wet kiss to the coal industry, but not a jobs bill.
 • The Small Business Capital Access and Job Preservation Act (H.R. 1105) passed the House on December 4, 2013, with support from 36 Democrats. The Senate has done nothing. Not passed.
So, exactly zero bills were passed of the 10 you listed. Exactly zero of those bills was a job bill. See the problem yet. So, the republican controlled house passed no jobs bills, and since 2014, the republican controlled Senate has passed no jobs bills.
So, you could not find a jobs bill brought forward by a republicans. SURPRISE.
How is that happy dance going, dipshit?
Keep searching, me boy. I am sure you can find something to call a jobs bill. Even though no one will believe you.
The stimulus was a jobs bill. And created and saved millions of jobs. That bill that every single democrat voted against. The one that created 9,265,000 jobs. Which is about that many more than any Republican bills created. See the problem, me boy. Democrats created 9,265,000 jobs while Republicans created none, but cause millions of lost jobs.
