The charging of tolls for ships to traverse the Strait of Hormuz is an utmost serious matter that cannot be allowed to be the new normal! The Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway which means pursuant to international law ships are allowed free passage, if Iran is legally allowed to charge a fee for permission to transit the Strait that would justify other countries whose lands border a narrow waterway to charge a toll and that would be a significant and unacceptable burden on international commerce. With the current status of the two-week cease fire deal in disarray I don't have a problem with Iran's position that America is not meeting its obligations under the deal with Israel bombing Lebanon, Iran's position that Lebanon was part of the deal is believable it is unreasonable to think that Iran would cut a deal that turned its back on Hezbollah a longstanding and very close ally of the Islamic regime in Iran! It also seems to me that the Israeli/Lebanon impediment will not be a long-term impediment to a cease fire deal because Israel in its bombing campaign is killing civilians and destroying residences that looks bad to the world public and I think that there is too many smart Israelis will put a stop to this realizing that if the Israeli government's reputation gets too bad Israel will see bans on trade, investment and travel with foreign countries until they negotiate with the Palestinians a two state solution based on the 1967 border with fair trade offs and smart Israelis don't want to bring this hardship on their people!
It needs to be made crystal clear to the Iranian regime during the upcoming negotiations that whatever needs to be done to re-open free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz will be done! There is the diplomatic options put an embargo on oil exports from Iran where U.S. naval vessels will seize any Oil tankers from Iran in violation of this embargo and sell the oil on the open market and give the proceeds to countries that have been victims of Iran's aggression during this war. Another diplomatic option is just to blockade the Strait take the position that unless every countries ship can get free passage through the Strait no countries ships will get free passage.
The Iran Regime needs to be told that the military option is on the table and if that has to be utilized where a large ground force needs to be landed on the coast of Iran around the Strait to secure it there will be permanent harmful consequences for Iran. First all civilian communities along the coast where allied troops are located will be forcibly pushed out of the area and into Iran so they can't hurt allied troops any adults that try to come back will be put into camps for the duration of the stay of the Allied troops. Next every little Island in or near the Strait that the Iran Regime uses will be destroyed that includes: Hormuz Island, Larak, Qeshm, Hengam Island, Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, Abu Musa, Foror and Siri. The debris will be dumped in the middle of the Strait between Oman and Iran to make a wall like structure it will be five miles wide at sea level and at least five stories high - to block anti-ship missiles from Iran from hitting traversing ships (China makes Islands all the time in the South China Sea so it is practically feasible) [No country will own this wall island it will be known as the island to facilitate free flow of maritime traffic through the Strait] if Iran tries to occupy it they will be burned off with napalm bombs if they try to remove it their construction crews and accompanying vessels will be bombed out of existence. No Iranian Naval vessel will ever be permitted to traverse the Oman side of the Strait and No Iranian commercial vessel will be permitted to traverse the Oman side of the Strait for one year to protect against Iranian commercial vessels dropping mines in that part of the Strait violating ships risk complete destruction. After this walling off the Oman side of the Strait is done they Allied Troops will leave. If this doesn't work the Allied forces will go back in and with construction crews push back Iran's coast line ten miles in the Strait Area; the debris will be trucked twenty-five miles into Iran and mountains of debris will be created before the Allies leave they will drill a hole into each mountain of debris and lower a nuclear explosive device in the hole and when all the mountains are rigged accordingly detonate the nuclear explosive devices so the mountains fall into the cavities created by the nuclear explosion so the Iranian government won't able to truck the debris back to the coastline and rebuild their coast the Allied troops can then leave. If the Iran government continues to obstruct free navigation through the Strait the Allies can go back in and take another ten miles of the Iranian coast line repeating the same process. This would leave thirty miles of water between Iran's coast line and the Dividing Wall island in the Strait that should provide plenty of security space or buffer to protect ship traffic traversing the Oman side of the Strait!
