The truth emerges. Oil tanker seized outside Venezuela.

Doesn’t excuse murdering survivors clinging to a boat
Barbaric
Go learn the definition of the word murder.

Then you realize how stupid you sound.

That's like saying I hit a foxhole with a second mortar, and that is murder.

Killing defenseless people clinging for their lives = Murder

If you kill people in a foxhole who are surrendering….that is murder

America should be better than this

Trump is the only one who ever took the “War on Drugs” literally and started killing people
Trump's blatant ignorance, stupidity, arrogance, and unbridled greed have at least made the deliberate murder of drug-war civilians/victims front page news.

He will do anything to prevent the Epstein files from becoming the dominant political story in this country.

We're just getting to know each other Rawley. It seems the central theme of most of your posts is the appeal to emotion. Cry me a river dude.
Nope, reality. You're claiming the fact that the cartels are terrorists is fiction (propaganda). Just showing you the hundreds of politicians alone, in Mexico alone, that have been murdered by the cartels. Terror is how they do and keep in business. They are terrorists.

What are you, a Bush, Romney, Cheney repub?

Aka a compassionate conservative?

Hahahahaha.... Oh man. Now it's obvious you haven't read any of my posts on this thread, since in my first post on this thread I clearly stated that I'm AGAINST neocon policies and aggressive interventionism, as you can see here. And in most of my posts after that I reiterated that same point in one way or another.

The most ironic thing here of all is...I AGREED with most of the things Trump ran on. He ran on being a different type of conservative, he ran on being against the endless wars, interventionism, nation building and other neocon foreign policy approaches....but then he turned around and acted exactly like Bush, Obama and all the other Establishment puppets before him.

So to answer your question, I'm a non-affiliated conservative who believes we shouldn't trample all over the constitution, we should stop acting like corrupt globalist imperialists, and we should be protecting our liberty and rights, instead of growing the government and only giving lip service to Republican values.

The War on Drugs has never been successful because it ignores US demand for 'illegal" drugs and also how these laws have destroyed poor communities across the country:

America’s War on Drugs — 50 Years Later

"The War on Drugs’ punitive effects continue to this day. In the last 40 years, the number of people convicted of drug-related crimes has risen more than 500 percent, now making up almost half of the federal prison population.

"Within America’s prisons, the policies have perpetuated cycles of poverty and unemployment in low-income communities while disproportionately impacting people of color.

"Black people are more than 3.5 times more likely to be arrested for cannabis possession than their White counterparts, despite both groups using the drug at similar rates, and African Americans and Hispanics now make up more than 60 percent of the prison population."

I would say the main reason the "war on drugs" hasn't been successful is because it was never a sincere, true war on drugs....it was only a pretext for more control, trampling all over the Bill of Rights and moving us toward an authoritarian technocratic police state. Just like their other pretexts, like "the war on terror", "climate change" alarmism, etc.

Your link:

"A woman using the name Katie Johnson filed federal lawsuits accusing both Trump and Epstein of raping her when she was 13 years old in 1994.

"She was scheduled to appear at a press conference with attorney Lisa Bloom to publicly detail her allegations, but then abruptly canceled after her legal team said she had received threats.

"The case was dropped days later, and she hasn't been heard from since."

Should video evidence of this or similar episodes actually exist, Americans deserve to know, and we should also know if Epstein was working with any foreign intelligence agencies.

The War on Drugs hasn't stopped drug use or trafficking, but it has caused a lot of social, economic, and human rights harm; maybe some in government find that a success story?

GoogleAI Overview:

"Ineffectiveness in Achieving Core Goals
  • "Persistent Drug Availability and Use: Despite over a trillion dollars in spending since 1971, illicit drugs remain widely available, and drug use and overdose death rates have reached historic highs, with over 107,000 overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2022 alone.
  • Fueling Organized Crime and Violence: Prohibition creates highly profitable black markets, which are controlled by violent drug cartels and gangs that cannot use legal means to resolve disputes. This has led to increased violence and political destabilization, particularly in Latin America and along the U.S.-Mexico border."

Good point. From THEIR perspective, I guess the "war on drugs" has been a success, since the goal isn't really about getting people off drugs, but power grabs and moving us in the direction of an authoritarian technocracy.

Boy, they sure are slow in implementing this "authoritarian technocratic police state." The "war on drugs" has been going on, what, 40 years now?

I never claimed otherwise. The PTSB do things incrementally, as opposed to quickly and suddenly. But anyone who is paying attention knows that it's going in that direction, and each step that the public turns a blind eye to just enables them to take the next step. It's like the frogs in boiling water metaphor... which is precisely why I agree with what the founders said, about vigilance being the price of liberty.

OK. In the last 40 years, which of your Bill of Rights rights have been trampled on because of the war on drugs?

Trump is nothing like bush on immigration

In fact trump is at odds with most republicans on policy since he is not a real conservative no

But after getting elected twice the repubs in congress have mostly retreated from opposing him

If you dont like trump you should find someone you do like and be positive about them instead of just negative about trump

I guess you've never heard of warrantless searches, increasing mass surveillance, and I could list all sorts of other moves toward authoritarianism in general...not just limited to the phony "war on drugs" but related to any of their phony pretexts.

Just the fact that you asked that question tells me a lot about you. But you're not alone, that misguided bootlicker mindset is very common here at USMB.

I wasn't talking about immigration... in that post I was talking about foreign policy. But anyway, there are a small number of people in government that I like (Massie is one of them) but unfortunately I no longer believe that an honest, decent, true patriot can ever make it to the highest office in the land.... because it is my view that one has to be "in the club" to get there in the first place.
