Sorry, Hon, it doesn't work that way. We are not interested in someone who "honors their commitments," we are interested in a friend who has our backs when we need them, and we sure have asked so little of Italy in ages.
Tell her to call the Vatican, maybe Pope Leo can send back up.

I don't see Meloni "freaking" as the OP breathlessly declares but I do agree with point about her denying US access to it's base in Sicily for missions to Iran.
Not a diplomat or treaty specialist, so I don't understand that terms. What I do understand is that Trump is famous for harming the US with a childlike response of "cutting off his nose to spite his face". He's an idiot who reacts emotionally, not logically.

Far Right in Europe isn't the same as in the US. In the US, it's more fascist than Italy's Fratelli d'Italia (Brothers of Italy).
Like most European leaders, she understood that Trump's war in Iran was going to severely limit the flow of oil out of the ME leaving Europe vulnerable to Russian supply.
