Øbama promised lethal aid, Congrees approved, Øbama never delivered. Trump delivered multiple times.

The White House refused to include weapons in an aid package announced Thursday for embattled Ukraine despite an impassioned plea by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko for more military assistance.

The Obama administration is providing $46 million in non-lethal security assistance and $7 million for relief organizations providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians affected by the conflict between government forces and Russian-backed separatists in the eastern region.

Administration officials confirmed that the State Department this month approved a commercial license authorizing the export of Model M107A1 Sniper Systems, ammunition, and associated parts and accessories to Ukraine, a sale valued at $41.5 million. These weapons address a specific vulnerability of Ukrainian forces fighting a Russian-backed separatist movement in two eastern provinces. There has been no approval to export the heavier weapons the Ukrainian government is asking for, such as Javelin antitank missiles.

Congress authorized such sales in 2014 in the Ukraine Freedom Support Act, but the Obama administration never authorized large commercial or government sales, a move widely seen as a de facto decision not to provide lethal weapons to the Ukraine military. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), who co-sponsored the law, praised the Trump administration’s move.

Trump sent lethal aid to Ukraine at least twice.

As above and later as well. This is from December 2019.

U.S. President Donald Trump will seek at least another $250 million in security aid for Ukraine in his 2020 budget request to Congress, including lethal Javelin anti-tank weapons, according to a senior Pentagon official.

...

All of this year’s $250 million tranche, save for $8.5 million, has been executed, Rood said.

Trump merely delayed the second batch for some answers from Zelensky. That aid was sent.

Remeber Poroshenko was a pro-Russia mega-crook that had to go. Trump got impeached for arbitrarily withholding military aid from his much more respectable successor. It seems the right has forgotten.

Trump didn't withhold anything---least not for long as everything was still delivered on time.
