Zone1 The statement “The Jews” is weird and against history

Jews are an ethnicity.

Only the most hardened antisemites say otherwise
Jews are an ethnicity, but they also represent a religion, nationality, and culture.

"3. Legal and Political Recognition

  • "The U.S. Supreme Court has recognized Jews as both a religious group and an ethnic group in civil rights contexts.
  • Nazi Germany classified Jews racially/ethnically, not religiously.
  • Israel's Law of Return treats Jewishness as both an ethnic and religious identity for immigration."

ChatGPT: "Are Jews properly categorized as an ethnicity?"

Yeah, so how many times do people say “The Protestants” like ie “Why is this happening to the protestants or what have the protestants done to deserve this or that”

Not much if at all …

But “The Jews” is used and it’s often used by Zionists. It is used in various capacities. But it doesn’t make any sense because for example when Zionism started gaining any sort of ground it wasn’t popular among Jewish people. Something like 1% of British Jews migrated to Palestine in the early 20th century, and the numbers were very very low even after World War II. The majority of Jewish people today live outside of Israel.

This is because Jews Are a massive integral part of many countries of the world and have been for many generations. Like in America Jews are 100% a part of the American fabric. They are great people they contribute to the country. They have the same struggles and achievements as American Christians or Muslims you name it.

Zionism was something that sought to literally bring every Jew to Israel. That is a movement that has been in a large part responsible for using terms like “the Jews” in various capacities, often for political gains.

Ok sure saying something like the Jews makes sense sometimes but they are not one body. Like for example, sure there are some similarities between Catholics all around the world, but obviously you have your Irish Catholics you have your Spanish Catholics you have your American Catholics all with their own unique identities within their own country.
you may be well meaning but your post is silly. You know nothing about "the jews" or "zionism"
Feel free to ask questions

I continue to be alarmed by the degree of antisemitism on this site. It echos what’s happening IRL.
The effect of conflating 'the Jews' with Israel. Israeli apologists insist on dragging every Jew into support of Israel's war crimes and crimes against peace in order to attempt to insulate themselves from the world's courts.

What actually happens is that antisemites use the ruse that they are only criticizing Israel policies, when they are actually doing SO much more like supporting Hamas, justifying terrorism, delegitimizing Israel's very right to exist, indulging in canards against Jews and any of a number of other telltale attitudes.

OH? sorta like the christians drag everything into the idiotic blood libel invented by Constantine
about the Roman victim---the Pharisee , Jesus?---crucified along with his fellow Pharisees?

As you know I began to study near death experience accounts in 1990 and they became something of an obsession with me.

Near death experiencer Ms. Ariela Solsol Periera had been raised Roman Catholic but during her 1967 brush with death, Messiah Yeshua - Jesus told her that she was really Jewish and that she should make Aliyah to Israel, [move to Israel and become an Israeli citizen, not necessarily in that order]. She obeyed and an online Friend of mine, a Sanhedrin Rabbi involved in the outreach to "Noahides" assister her to become an Israeli citizen.

Her book is fascinating in so many ways.

A first hand account of a profound and prophetic Near Death Experience. What actually awaits every person when they leave this material world? Do heaven and hell really exist? Are they both eternal realms? How can a loving God condemn a soul to hell for all eternity? Who is the Messiah and what did He accomplish for us? Is America now being warned to repent before it's too late and God's severe judgements fall upon this once great nation? Do miscarried and aborted babies have souls? If so, where do their souls go when they leave this world? Does life truly begin at conception? Does God recognize our man made Denominations? Why did God choose Israel and the Jews? These and many more important spiritual questions are answered with unusual simplicity and clarity.

Israel and the Jews are indeed God's very own Chosen People. They were Chosen by God to be the bearers of the Truth and begetters of the Messiah, Savior of all mankind. By way of Israel and the Jews...God has blessed the entire world as was promised to Abraham, the Patriarch.

The continued existence of the Jews through centuries of dispersal and persecution, caused by the intense hatred of their enemies, is a mute testimony and clear evidence of the existence of the One,True God of Israel. The restoration of the nation of Israel in modern times, in precise fulfillment of ancient prophecies, is sufficient evidence of the authenticity and inerrancy of the Divinely Inspired Word of God.

Someday soon, a Jew named Jesus(Yeshua), will rule the entire world from the remote, insignificant and relatively unknown city of....Jerusalem.
