Going as far back as the Garden of Eden story with man partaking of the tree of knowledge, man has always had a dilemma regarding the potential good and bad as a result of learning new technology and knowledge.

Using knowledge and technology to empower man has not been kind to the human race.

As the Bible predicted thousands of years ago in the Garden of Eden, knowledge devoid of wisdom brings death.

Is mankind "evil"?

In fact, here is a question for all you science nerds out there, does "evil" exist?

Can it be quantified using science?

Out of interest , do a 100% swap .
Along the lines of Wisdom coming from the Soul , ---as distinct from hoped for Knowledge from the brain .

P.S. Forget the Garden of Eden .
The mistranslation covers the truth of that episode -- two of us being cloned - manipulated in an Elohim constructed bubble .
Call it their Laboratory for simplicity .

The first sentence in the Judeo-Christian Holy Bible has a typo….

MIND inserted “God” in the place where MIND intended to insert “mind”

Man is fearful of the unknown. It’s an evolution thing. Keeps the race of man safe but causes a lot of violence and destruction. Projecting our reactions on aliens makes sense except for the more evolved we become the less fearful we are. I’d suggest the power of interstellar travel suggest a being that evolved past fear.

Currently man is working on artificial intelligence, which is intelligence without empathy.

Funny fact, if a human is super smart and devoid of empathy, they are called a sociopath, but if it is a machine it is called "progress".

If you can teach intelligence can you teach empathy? Maybe not. Many humans dont have empathy and we elect them as the current President.

Sometimes the best intentions are evil. For example, the requirement for "humane" killing of the Burmese pythons in the Everglades ensures that their numbers will increase and they will wipe out most native species there, then invade the developed areas when they run out of food. Insisting on humane kill is a deliberate, evil decision to facilitate the destruction of the ecology of the Everglades.

should make for a good meme

Evangelical, republican protestants and a minority of Republican Catholic zealots elected Trump. Without 40 to 50,000,000 church going antichrists who voted.

We should never forget about the total hypocrisy and shamefulness of that fact

We can't teach the Left empathy, at least when it comes to the unborn or Jews, so why should we be able to teach it to AI?

The Realistic Message of Prometheus Bound

The incompetent ruling class knows that it will be replaced by a more intelligent one, so it brainwashes its mind-slaves to destroy the more advanced visitors.

Absolute good and evil do not exist. They only exist in relative terms. But they do exist. But they do exist. People act and presumably think as though they believed good and evil exist, which is the same thing.

Since they are relative and subjective, they can be scientifically polled, but not scientifically measured.

Although I supposed you could hook up an good-n-evil-o-meter to a human and measure his or her feelings about something being good or evil.

AI is also intelligence without will or desire.

Using "His or Her" Is Absolutely Evil Grammar

"He" has always been used for the singular of indefinite gender. It actually means "this person" and is related to "here," which means "this place."

Grammar, like good and evil are relative and change over time.

"His or her" is considered by many to be acceptable nowadays.

Once upon a time English had two words for the 2nd person, "you" and "thou". I bet it was considered "absolutely" evil when thou was dropped too.
