The roots of the rising violence in Gaza and Israel

Israeli Arabs: We Do Not Want to Live in Palestinian State

It is much easier for Palestinians to accuse Israel of racism than to admit they do not want to be part of a Palestinian state.

"This is an imaginary proposal that relates to the Arabs as if they were chess pieces that could be moved around according to the wish of the players." — Ahmed Tibi, Member of Knesset.

If the Arab Knesset members are so worried about becoming citizens of a Palestinian state, they should be working toward integration into, and not separation from, Israel, and listening more to their constituents rather than the voices of Fatah and Hamas.

No weapons have been found in any of the homes Israel has targeted.

Did you bother to search?

Or maybe they create a rockets that capable of reaching Tel Aviv in one hour?
How do you know that's a secondary explosion from a cache of weapons in the house?

1.Israel leading intelligence.
2.Army experts.
3.Zero deny by the world including Hamas.
4.History and common weapon caches were found in the West Bank and Gaza.
5.1000 rockets booming over my head in the past week that hidden probably somewhere if not inside their asses.

Each airstrike in Gaza cost around the 600,000-1,000,000$ would you send planes just to bomb a house of civilians or a disabled center? Get real man. :doubt:

Well, the Palestinian's were trying to do that with their unity government and request to be recognized by the UN. One would think Israel would've encouraged the peaceful avenue the Pals were taking. Unfortunately, that thought would be wrong.

Thanks for answering the question.

You're the only one in this thread that has had the balls to do that.

Well, according to Amnesty International...

Israeli air strikes have targeted civilian homes in Gaza on the basis that they are the family homes of “Hamas operatives”, according to statements by the Israeli military, destroying the homes after warning the families to leave. However, in several such cases no evidence has emerged to indicate that the alleged “Hamas operatives” were inside the homes at the time of the attack, that the homes were being used to store munitions, or otherwise were being used for military purposes.
Back to you, Danny boy!

Israeli Arabs who claim to despise Israel exist. There are twelve Arab members of the Knesset, some of whom frequently disparage Israel as "racist" and otherwise illegitimate. Inconsistently, they object strenuously to having parts of Israel where they live become parts of a Palestinian state.

Another Arab Knesset member, Afu Ighbarriyeh, said, “Citizens of a democratic state are not tools or hostages in the hands of their government.

“Citizens of a democratic state are not tools or hostages in the hands of their government.” [Emphasis added.]

His reference to Israel as a “democratic state” is illuminating.

Both Tibi and Ighbarriyeh are from towns in the triangle area; Taybeh and Umm al-Fahm.
But what the Arab Knesset members are not saying openly is that they do not want to wake up in the morning and discover that they are citizens of a Palestinian state. It is much easier for them to accuse Israel of racism than to admit that they do not want to be part of a Palestinian state. [Emphasis added.]

Israel is an illegitimate, racist apartheid state! (Wrong)

First off, how do they know what the Israeli-Arabs are not saying and second, what does one, have to do with the other?

^ You'd be the one bending over to pick it up. I'd just kick you in the ass for bending over in front of a Jew after spouting all this claptrap you've been throwing tonight.

Monalisa Abdo is a nineteen year old combat soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces. She serves in one of Israel’s elite anti-terror units. Moreover she wears the legendary red army boots that only Israel’s most elite fighting units wear, the Israeli equivalents of the American SEALS and green berets. . . . [Emphasis added.]
Monalisa grew up in Haifa. Most Israeli Arabs are not conscripted into the Israeli military, but they may volunteer to serve if they wish. Some do so out of patriotism and loyalty to the state, and some do so because of the career benefits and training that will help them later in the workplace. Monalisa is clearly among the former. Her story and an interview with her appear in the December 2, 2011 issue of Israel’s Yediot Ahronot newspaper. [Emphasis added.]

She describes the nasty comments some Arabs made to her and her family members when she signed up. She dismisses them. And her parents are squarely behind her. “Israeli Arabs need to serve in the Israeli military,” she insists in the interview, “to give to the country and not just take.” Israel is our country and we need to serve it, she believes. And military service is beneficial for those who serve, she adds, teaching them discipline and responsibility. Monalisa’s older sister Michelin, age 21, has also decided to enlist and will start her service in a few days. In the same unit as Mona.

Monalisa not only asked to enlist in the Israeli Defense Forces but signed up for an elite combat unit named “Karkel,” in which both men and women serve side by side on the front lines. Karkel is the name of a wild desert cat that lives in Israel’s south. The unit is station in the Arava desert close to the border with Egypt. Hunting down terrorist infiltrators is its specialty.

Monalisa provides an interesting, even compelling, contrast to Arab members of the Knesset and other Palestinian supporters who disparage Israel as a "racist," apartheid and otherwise illegitimate state. Of greater importance, perhaps the videos featuring her will help to convince Israelis and others who accept their words as accurate and as reflecting the views of most if not all Israeli Arabs that they are neither.

Israel is an illegitimate, racist apartheid state! (Wrong)

"ROOTS OF THE RISING VIOLENCE//what is the root cause"

-- make no mistake about it....
A little black book, how convenient.

Little black books, little red books, little green books, whatever. That could just as easliy be a picture of a Torah or Bible.

When peoples are brutalised and oppressed they turn first to the ephemeral comfort of their religion, then to resistance.

If Israel had accepted the peace offers the Arabs made in 1948, it would have peace and recognition.

If Israel would stop breaking ceasefires, they wouldldn't get rockets.
If Israel stopped retlaiating with acts of genocide, it wouldn't get the next generation of rocket firers.
If Israel walked away from Palestine and stopped the illegal building of settlements, Palestinians would be able to get on with their lives.

Israel has chosen to live by the sword since 1948...

“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy, instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.

Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.

Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate.

Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

There are no Martin Luther Kings in the Knesset, the only one who got anywhere close was murdered by his own people.

As I said before, Israel did negotiate with Yasser Arafat the one who thr, eatened (his words) "1,000 suicide bombers on their way to Jerusalem!", same about Abo-Masen "We won’t recognize and accept the Jewishness of Israel" , and back to Hamas "Death to the Zionist Enemy" and considered among many states as Terrorist Organization.
The Palestinians new government is not actually a new government, we agreed to talk with Abo Mazen although he didn't recognize our right to live, you really believe Hamas could bring any different? Is talking rationally made any different in the past? Israel said it loud and clear, if the rockets won't stop Israel is going for a massive operation in Gaza, now they truly reap what they sown, Israel is recognized by the U.N. but wait a second..did Palestine ever give a damn about it?
All the past taught us that 'cease-fire' for Hamas and his friends means a break for gathering up more weapons.
I Don't really think you understand who Hamas is, Let me refresh your mind who they truly is.
2000 Ramallah lynching - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You really take them as rational people?
Please take a look on the thread I made about Hamas Lies and Hamas - Enemy of Humanity, and to think about yourself with a straight answer, Would you be able to make peace with this kind of people who swore to kill you?

And don't hang up on this but did the U.N. told HOW MANY were actually weapon caches "Several cases" is not enough for me as my common sense tells me that 1 bullet cost about 1 USD and yet Israel spend 35,000$+ a year per imprisoned terrorist for education.
Only Israel see that life has no price, see Gilad Shalit exchange or the 3 kidnapped soldiers before, how many live terrorist we traded for their bodies.

P.s. I'm glad you actually question me and seek the truth, I hope you will finally understand that HAMAS abusing human rights are not a negotiable nor rational people, Abo Masen might be but he just decided to join Hamas, do the calculation yourself.
"birds of a feather flock together"
Peace, Danny boy.

I couldn't help but notice everyone who doesn't think the occupation is the root cause, can't bring themselves to even talk about the daily horrors the occupation brings to the Palestinian's.

You don't see the occupation as the problem, yet you can't talk about the occupation itself?

Interesting!
well, c'mon Billo, its not as if they're in total denial.
No. They are planning to solve the problem of the occupation by expelling the Palestinians. ....
:eusa_angel:

.... and they think that anyone who loves peace is going to be okay with that.

Personally, I'd carpet bomb the whole ******* place, forget peace, that's what comes after the war is won, and this war is still ongoing. Pound them so hard they either surrender unconditionally (like japan), or kill them all if they don't surrender.

Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri: Human-Shield Policy Is Effecive

[ame=http://youtu.be/eQ6S0-o3uFI]Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri: Human-Shield Policy Is Effecive - YouTube[/ame]
I disagree with the Hamas spokesperson.

I don't think that policy is effective at all, because the Israeli's don't give a shit about human life.

Sorry, Adolph, but this particular comment of yours is particularly stupid, even by your standards of The Stupid.

Unfortunately for you, your nonsense claims are easily refuted. False claims by sleazy haters spiral and crash into the ground when you are asked to combat the irrefutable argument that Israel has demonstrated restraint.

You have no counter to the fact that Israel has spent billions upon billions of dollars to employ LESS cost effective weapons for the sole purpose of reducing civilian casualties. You say nothing of the recognized capability Israeli strategic forces to reduce the entirety of the Islamic terrorist enclave of Gaza to a burning pile of ash within hours with almost no reduction of its national power, and the restraint from using such power demonstrated by their leaders.

You cannot reconcile the fact that Israel has repeated shown a willingness to concede land for a cessation of hostilities

You cannot reconcile the fact that you argue Israel wishes to murder and kill and intimidate “Palestinian” arabs with the truth that you cannot conjure up a reason for such action, much less an explanation for precision munitions development, no use of particularly effective cluster, mine and incendiary munitions, and extremely tight Rules of Engagement for Israeli forces in battle zones.

And when someone brings up these irreconcilable faults in your arguments, you point to a link about something entirely unrelated, try to make a statement accusing Israelis broadly of being “Zionist Occupiers or simply slither away and let the thread sink.

HereÂ’s your chance to reconcile these issues now, Or, slither away.

Answer now, how you can say that Israelis WISH to have civilian casualties when they have spent many times the GDP of the Gaza Islamic terrorist enclave on weapons that limit such casualties.

Answer now, how can you say that Israelis wish for war when it is a proven fact that Israel has conceded land for attempts at peace.

Or, if you feel too threatened, just make a statement about the Jews controlling the media or and go back to your cliff's notes to the Communist /islamist Manifesto.

People like Billo are exactly the reason terrorists like Hamas and the PA try to get as many children killed as possible; they make great propaganda pics and fund raising tools, and provide Billo with some delusional 'talking point' that he's babbling from some nonexistent moral authority he thinks he has with his nonsense. People like Billo love getting those kids killed, and the likes of Hamas and the PA go to considerable effort to make sure the Billos of the world aren't disappointed.

>>Islam in a man is as dangerous as rabies in a dog. Winston Churchill <<

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its
votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in
a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic
apathy.
The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident
habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of
commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the
followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and
refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that
in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his
absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine,
must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of
Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the
influence of the religion paralyses the social development of
those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from
being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing
faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa,
raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that
Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the
science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization
of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient
Rome."

Sir Winston Churchill; (Source: The River War, first edition,
Vol. II, pages 248-50 London)
