Some states (like NY, NJ and CA for instance) are way WAY off with this. They look for a way to incarcerate or fine anybody for anything.

I see another common denominator in long term single males I know personally. Low self esteem that leads to poor physical health, poor appearance and low confidence with the other sex. Adding to that problem are unrealistic expectations of young women who are encouraged to chase "hot guys" with tatoos and swag. They pursue the swag guys which often times ends badly for them.

I agree with community service. There's lots of work needed that city and state budgets can't cover. Back in the day volunteer prison labor was used to harvest lake weeds here, but the Dems insisted that they be paid full wages. The program was ended and since then the lakes have gone to hell.

That doesn't reduce the recidivism rates among those nonviolent crooks. Most wind up back in jail in a few years and the whole sorry process repeats ('revolving door justice'). Best to keep them in prison until they 'age out' of criminal behavior (recidivism rates decline with age). I like the "three strikes and you're... in for life" policy.

After an appropriate time the purpose of incarceration should be less that of punishment but more about keeping criminals separate from the general population. This could mean better overall living conditions for those prisoners while still incarcerated.

The last sentence sums it up. Now that abortions will be a lot harder to get people will be more responsible. This will lead to less kids conceived and born. This will lead to people saying "people aren't having enough kids". They will declare this a dangerous situation.
