The economy was actually quite strong at the end of 2006. Unlike what the media reported every day. The unemployment rate was 4.6, and dow was quite high at that time. The surge was working, and the beloved msm hyped it as everything was a disaster.

Then, Pelosi and the democrats won the HOUSE AND THE SENATE. They took over power in 2007 and kept it till 2010.

Unemployment rate sky rocketed. The democrat policies that caused the bubble in the first place was ignored deliberately by the democrat congress in 2008. All 18 warnings ignored. All caused by democrat policies.

Why is it that American conservatives, aka snowflakes, are always whining about something or another? Or making claims that are easily refuted should they open their eyes and look around. It's a good story, but what really happened was the the corruption in the banking system using mortgage backed securities collapsed.

This was a system first established under the Carter administration, which was thwarted when Reagan reformed the S&L's. No one remembers the Keating 5 - 5 corrupt Senators, 4 democrats and John McCain, so technically 5 democrats - raped the public for millions using MBS schemes that caused the collapse of Lincoln savings.

But Clinton restored the corruption with a BANG, and MBS offerings went global as well as adding the collateralized debt obligation, or CDO. This was license to steal, and the banks went wild with their theft. All they had to do was make a bad loan, roll it into a CDO and sell it on the market as if it had value. That went on all through the late 90's and into 2007, when the whole pyramid collapsed.
