And?
(ps....make up your mind. The police welcomed the attackers with open arms? Or the police were shooting at 'em?)
------------------------------------------------------
There was a reason there wasn't a larger force.
And that's because it was a normal day. So a usual force. And the Capitol was closed to the public.
The Trump rally was at the Ellipse, well over a mile away.
There had been no permit requested for a rally at the Capitol....as is required.
No permit requested for a march down Pennsylvania Ave.....as is required, for any march in DC.
In fact, testimony showed that a call from the podium by Trump for a march had been planned days in advance and intentionally kept secret among key aides so as not to alert the DC Police, the Capitol Police, the Parks Police, and notably, the Capitol Police.
IF ....the Trump enablers had applied for a permit, then force levels would have been beefed up, traffic along Pennsylvania would have been restricted and guided. The attackers would have met more uniformed and armed resistance.
The secrecy speaks to intent A malevolent intent. This was the office of the top administrator of our laws in America.....and he and his enablers played dodge-em so that their incited crowd would encounter minimum pushback.
That is criminal intent in my opinion.

Ummm?
A locked door?
A furniture barricade blocking its ability to open?
Armed police?
And the ultimate proof of 'restricted'....when an unauthorized individual leapt into a violently opened breach in the purpose-built barricade......the attacker got shot.
Ipso facto -- restricted.
Duh!
