The Republicans Continue to Wage War Against Government Workers

Failo - members of the Armed Forces DO NOT and HAVE NEVER considered themselves "government employees." They actually work for a fucking living, vs. some GS-9 shitbird that sits at his desk all day surfing porno-sites at some Federal agency, like Swallow.

And there you go again, WarriorTakesItUpTheAss102. Getting all gay..

You were in the Navy..right?

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InBXu-iY7cw]In the Navy - YouTube[/ame]

Feel at home? Fess up. Were you the motorcycle guy?

The lefts contempt for the military is staggering, did you serve in any branch sallow?

You do understand that if 100% of a government employees salary is provided by all the non government workers taxes that the taxes that are taken out of government employees pay are actually still paid by all the non-government employees.

You are in effect counting tax dollars twice.

Say10 People each make 100 dollars and are taxed 10 dollars to pay your public employee salary of 100 dollars even if you pay 10 dollars in taxes, the total of all tax revenue still comes from the other 10 people.

So instead of 11 people paying 110 dollars in taxes, 11 people only result in TOTAL TAX REVENUE OF 100 dollars.

So the eleventh person did not add to the tax base.

You do know that government employees do pay taxes that also help non government workers directly and indirectly? The salary of government employees pays the salaries of government employees to, if govt employees paid no taxes they you would have a point, however, the private sector outsourcing jobs to China and Mexico does nothing tax wise and revenue wise for the government, only the company reaps the benefits.

The point as usual went over your head.

A government employee does not add to the total tax revenue because you can't count tax dollars twice.

If I made 100 pies and gave you 10 there would still only be 100 pies you can't count the 10 I gave you twice.

What?

Seriously?

This is the problem with you guys. You think value only comes from the private sector. And that the private sector is "entitled" to all the profit.

It doesn't and it isn't. And in fact the private sector draws heavily on goods and services that are provided FOR them by the tax payer.

Sheesh.

Government workers = useless fucks

Ditto for Unions.

im a govt worker Warrior and when im out there delivering the mail in a fucking rainstorm with winds blowing and its 45 degrees i dont feel so fucking useless........i dont know to many private sector guys sitting in their houses that would change places with me on that day.....every job has useless fucks....including the private sector.....but everyone seems to forget the most useless fucks we have are the people running this country.....dont hold the common guy at fault because he took a fucking Govt job to feed his family......the real useless fucks are the guys who would turn down a govt job and stay unemployed.....just because its a Govt job.......

Are you really a postal worker? Republicans are trying to distroy the post office. They started in 2006. Some states like Oregon and Washington vote through the mail. They are hoping to supress votes. Different tactics than what they use in Iowa, Ohio, Minnisota and Alabama.

Do you have any proof of Republicans trying such a thing? I'll be waiting.

The right wing asshats have nothing to say this is all right on point!

Meanwhile it was just a few years back that democrats exempted many friends for the minimum wage bill.

It wasnt that long ago that the only spending cuts dems could think of was fucking the poor.

Where did your sudden draw of credibility come from?

Proof, not your head up your arsch.

You stayed off topic on his question to you, does this mean you lost the debate?

For one the government doesn't produce any goods. And any services provided by government are already paid for by the public.

The point is that the taxes taken out of government salaries do not add to the total of tax collected.

Bob Cesca: The Republicans Continue to Wage War Against Government Workers

Adding to the syllabus of conservative contradictions this week, both Christie and Scott attacked government employees and proudly announced the firings of tens of thousands of workers even though they themselves are government employees. Given the Republican talent for selling nonsense by the gross, the Republicans have managed to successfully define government workers as nothing more than faceless automatons -- robotic parasites without families, mortgages and futures.

At the Reagan Library this week, Christie applauded President Reagan's firing of air traffic controllers. Mitt Romney doesn't believe that government workers are contributors to the "real economy." And while the Republicans attack the president for increasing the size of government, 500,000 government workers have lost their jobs since the president's inauguration.

The centerpiece of the statement is his proud assertion that "government doesn't create jobs." Who, then, is the "we've" inside the clause "we've generated 87,200 private sector jobs?" If he's referring to his administration ("we" as in "Governor Scott et al"), then he's referring to the government -- the executive branch of the Florida state government, to be exact -- and if the government "generated" 87,200 private sector jobs, then government does, in fact, create jobs.

Rick Scott continued by patting himself on the back for firing 15,000 Floridians. Despite his attempts to dehumanize the people who were fired, those government "jobs" were occupied by real-life human beings: Florida residents who, due to their lost jobs, might not be able to pay their rents and mortgages in an already crippled Florida housing market. Scott was talking about Florida residents who, because of Scott's policies, have become a drain on the state and national economies as they line up for unemployment checks and watch their credit card balances max out. Good job, governor. Tell me again how the Republicans will fix the economy.
At this rate when I retire from the military I mind as well retire and stay in Germany because there will be nothing worth coming home to. And people will continue to vote for such morons.

Flaylo, did you know Obama's Presidential Jobs Creation Committee just exported American technology to China to create a boatload of jobs for the Chinese people? You should read more.

If you are going to be a harpy on Republican faults, you better not ignore that your party's leadership is doing it through committees disguising the true intent of their criminal exportation of American jobs and technology to foreign countries.

I can't believe you started this moronic thread.

I have no "contempt" for the military. I have contempt for a dickwad that keeps asking to swallow my jiz.

Read the entire post. I included his in my response.

And in any case..I don't start the personal shit. But no way I back down from it either. :doubt:

This is a cool trend. Conservatives cheering on the weaking of Unions, and calling Teachers, Cops, Firemen, Troops and so many other people that work for the government; leeches and parasites.

So next election these are those not voting for a Republican:

-Teachers.
-Cops.
-Firemen.
-Policemen.
-Troops. (Well they might still get some of those..)
-Hispanics.
-Blacks.
-Moderates.
-Democrats.
-Liberals.
-Muslims.
-Retired folks.
-Postal workers.
-DMV workers.
-Court Officers.
-Metronorth workers.
-MTA workers.
-Janitors.
-Government IT professionals.
-Emergency Workers.
-Goverment Services Adminstration Workers.
-TSA workers.
-Most Jewish Folks (Especially if Perry runs).
-New Yorkers (Especially if Perry runs).

And that's just the short list.

What's left?

White Evangelists. That's about it. And you lose them if Mitt Romney runs.

It's funny you mention that, which party kept Cops and firefighters and the like away from the 9/11 memorial this year? And which party advocated for them being there? Who doesn't appreciate them and who does now?

It's funny that the Republicans in general patronize (behave in an offensively condescending manner toward cops, firefighters and EMT's) and some believe that shows respect. And funnier that those who believe to patronize is to show respect don't follow the movement to feel they are way over paid and receive benefits much to extravagant.

Government R&D is responsible for the telecommunications backbone that allows both you and me to post here. I would call that "goods". And there are a wealth of other goods that the private sector uses for private profit like government satellites..

Police, Fire and Sanitation allow Business to operate without having to rely on expensive and "capricious" private sector equivalents, which, by the way have all been tried before.

So government workers ADD to the economy by allowing private businesses to maximize their profit by not worrying about these services. And they pay income tax...which is yet another plus. AND they are not using services like unemployment or worse..winding up as part of the criminal element.

no im not Dean......i have only been saying i am since i have been here.....and we know all about darrell issa......i personally hope he pushes his plan to just fire all the senior workers......the lawsuit that would follow would cost the govt millions,i would get all kinds of back pay when they lose and Issa would be exposed for the asshole that he is.....it must be nice to be worth a Hundred million bucks and just be as fucked up a person as you want with other peoples lives.....because no matter what happens it does not effect you.....

Elected officials are not employees in the same sense that government union employees that cannot be fired are.

We have in most cases state and federal constitutionally mandated numbers for elected representatives.

I know of no such mandate for government employed secretaries, janitors etc.

in the 31 years i have been in the PO i have seen quit a few guys get fired.....we just had one the other day for threatening another employee......ive seen it for stealing, violence, bad attendance.....

How much more commentary do you need to understand you are full of shit and have zero creds.................

See what I eamn? I won, get over it. Moving on, why do you support Republicans who want to fire government workers?

How did you win.?
Government workers are the spending problem. You confuse real service to hand holding

the spending problem are those Govt workers in Congress.....they spend tax dollars pretty wisely dont they?.....and then they try to turn it on someone else....

No they do not, we appreciate the valuable service that every one of them render, we do however believe that the unions representing them need to be reigned in before the whole system collapses. Dont confuse the two, we are not against public servants, we are however against the greedy unions pretending to represent them. I'm a federal Officer, who dropped out of my union "AFGE" because they are taking my money and giving it away to people that I dont want to have it, just like they do to most locals around the country, the only difference being I can get out of my union, most other people cannot, but I guarantee that a good percentage of them feel the same way I do and appreciate what the GOP is doing, whether you want to believe it or not.

Lets see, they do not contribute to the tax base and require all the perks of employment. Pensions healthcare etc, all paid by the taxpayer.

Govt workers do pay taxes you dumbass and their own healthcare, they get none of that for free, pensions included, where the fack do you get your information from? In fact they put more of their money back into the systems than an idiot like you.

Federal employees pay no federal income tax.

You can play the paper shuffle all you wish.

Yes you being an idiot makes this fun.

if that were true why am i filing a tax return every year, that has x amount of dollars taking out for fed income taxes?.....so the IRS does not agree with you....

I'm a government worker, and a Republican, and you are very wrong. If the democrats had not spent almost 4Trillon dollars in the last 3 years would the GOP have to reign in this spending to try and save our country? One of the parties has got to be the grownups here, and apparently it will not be the Democrats. I have taken a 2 year pay freeze, maybe even 5 year if the GOP votes there way. And you know what? I support it if that is what needs to happen to get this country back on track. Dont blame the GOP, put the blame where it needs to be, reckless spending and corruption on the left.

so do you think you are a useless fuck?.....just because you had the audacity to take a Govt job?..........

Many can and do drop out. For those who do not want to drop out and disagree with how their dues are spent can always, by federal law, opt out of that part of their dues. That way they can still be a part of the union and not leech off what the others bargain for.

R&D is NOT production is it?

And the only thing I have mentioned is the bottom line tax figure.

Stop being such a fucking moron and using value judgements when I have not mentioned anything about the value of government services.

ALL I am saying is that the taxes taken out of government employees pay do NOT add to the NET revenue of the government. The total net tax revenue of the government is solely derived from the public sector

What exactly about that simple fact do you not understand?
