Even Jews have a hard time explaining their own success.

However, I think it's because Jewish mothers nag their sons into the fields of medicine, science, and law.

Sort of like how Rebekah conspired to deceive Isaac into blessing Jacob instead of Esau?

You mean Jewish parents encourage their kids to go into lucrative fields such as medicine and law and engineering, etc., knowing they have the intelligence to succeed in them, rather than shrug they shoulders and let them major in Ethnic Studies or Social Justice Theory - and end up working at Starbucks, supplemented with food stamps?

Sounds like Jewish parents are smart and want to raise responsible citizens.

One can be a responsible citizen digging ditches.

For Jewish kids it is only a matter of which college they attend, and then which graduate school. Boys for a career, girls for a husband.

Methinks that God had a hand in it.
Or that she failed the test because she didn't trust God to fulfill the prophecy. If I recall Jacob had to flee for awhile. Who is to say if she had trusted God, that the prophecy would have been fulfilled without Jacob having to flee.

If we take this analogy to today. Who is to say the US and Israel attacking Iran won't ultimately lead to an even greater suffering for Israel than if they hadn't attacked Iran.

OK….I’ll laugh. :laughing0301:

Not if they don’t earn enough to support themselves.

- sure its not digging ditches, they are not then a responsible citizen ...

the new mayor of new york hears your cry - says he will be working on paying enough for all than just the blessedly endowed.
