Interesting to see kids who had just arrived in the US almost three years ago - nervous, insecure, and very, very much beginners with the English language - now cruising the hallways of their high school looking confident and comfortable, and chatting with the 'American' kids in English as easily as with their other friends in Spanish.

It's encouraging to see.

True.

It also illustrates that the fear of immigration and immigrants is unwarranted.

This is warm and fuzzy and all....but hold on a minute...kids exchanging dialogue in English in the hallways of schools negates the $100 billion per year spent on illegals, the crime, the rape, the murders they commit?
WTF is wrong with you?

The reality of young people working to better themselves and our country is so much better and encouraging than the rhetoric and horror stories spread by the right wing.

But if this were yet another shit-flinging hate thread loaded with racial slurs, it would be 100 pages by now.

Give it time. Finger Boy will be around soon.
