What exactly did President Trump do that is traitorous?
He tried to influence an American election by inviting foreign interference. Maybe not technically treason by definition, but close enough in my book. He betrayed the oath of office. He belongs in Gitmo.
There was no collusion, you damn idiot.
Well, there was, but that’s not what I’m referring to. I’m talking about Ukraine. He tried to get Ukraine to interfere in our elections.
Fuck face.
Bullshit, you pusillanimous putrid punk. Show your evidence.
Awww it looks like I triggered somebody. You doing ok old man?
The evidence is in the House impeachment trial. You know, the one where The Orange Dumpster Fire got himself impeached? It’s also in the words of Republican Lamar Alexander,
who said Democrats proved their case:
“The question then is not whether the president did it, but whether the United States Senate or the American people should decide what to do about what he did,” he said in a statement. “I believe that the Constitution provides that the people should make that decision in the presidential election that begins in Iowa on Monday.”
Better luck next time, old fart. Try not to get so upset the next time I own you.
So how did Republican Lamar Alexander vote in the impeachment trial, innocent or guilty?
There is no innocent or guilty — it’s vote to convict, or vote to acquit. Lamar Alexander chose to acquit, but that doesn’t change the facts of the evidence. He said that the case was proved, but that he didn’t agree with the punishment.
Mitt Romney, on the other hand, became the first senator in American history to vote for conviction against a president of his own party.
