The left wing/democrats/socialists have already hated on the Senate health care bill.....the conservative members of the Senate are looking to make it an even stronger bill....and here is a column on why it is already pretty awesome.....just for balance...

Conservative Wonk: Actually, the Critics Are Wrong. The Senate Healthcare Bill is Great.

A few highlights from his Forbes analysis, published this morning:

In March, when House Republicans published their bill to replace Obamacare—the American Health Care Act—I described it in Forbes this way: “GOP’s Obamacare Replacement Will Make Coverage Unaffordable For Millions—Otherwise, It’s Great.” I meant it. There were great things about the House bill, in particular its far-reaching reforms of the Medicaid program. But Paul Ryan’s bill contained a fatal flaw. Its flat tax credits, which provided identical assistance to the poor and the wealthy, would price millions of near-elderly low-income workers out of the insurance market and trap millions more in poverty. Fortunately, buried in the House bill was a way out of the morass. Section 202 of the bill contains a transitional schedule of tax credits that was meant to serve as a bridge between the old Obamacare system, ending in 2017, and the new Paul Ryan system, beginning in 2020.

It turns out that if you simply kept that bridge in force, and tossed overboard the Paul Ryan flat tax credit, you’d solve all of these problems with the House bill. By making that change, the near-elderly working poor would be able to afford coverage, and the poverty trap would be eliminated. And that’s precisely what the Senate bill did! Section 102 of the Senate bill—the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017—closely mirrors Section 202 of the House bill, with age- and means-tested tax credits up to 350 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. Making this change not only solves the problems I described above. It also makes it easier to reform the Medicaid program.

It didb't take away your precious gun, so you are all for it.

with this bill, guess who’s still paying for transgender operations? Guess who still can’t go to Memorial Sloan Kettering? Guess who will still be paying 700 dollars a month for heath insurance? No, I don’t want gambling addiction therapy. I don’t want psychological counseling. I want insurance if I have a broken bone or cancer. That is illegal to sell in this country.

This is going to ruin Republicans if this passes because it’s Obamacare lite

Now Republican will get blamed for it. Let it fall. I would rather have nothing than have Republicans take responsibility for something that is just as bad as Obamacare except all your taxes get cut.

At some point in this process you have got to take responsibility for this crap. You can't keep hiding behind "Obamacare" labels and whining that Republicans will get blamed for the bill they wrote like it's not fair.

You guys are hilarious....ly pathetic. 7 years of selling you a dream they had better plans and you bought it and realize the box is empty....but don't blame the seller of the empty box? Rofl!!

I prefer unemployment compensation that clears our poverty guidelines on an at-will basis; so our markets are distorted less.

You may not want it but you need it.

Yes, exactly.

No, basquebromance - It's not ObamaCares "lite". Quit parroting what the RW pundits tell you to say.

Bizarre that you were whining about the wealthy strangle hold on the US but don't see this is the coldest, most bloodthirsty example of that.

RWNJs love it because they're told to and presumably because they are wealthy and don't know or care about children, the elderly, vets, women, babies, the handicapped, congenital defects.

Yes, but although you don't care reality says that plenty of people do.

You act as if the insurance plans were super duper before when they skyrocketed premiums every single year more than Obamacare.

The fact is that pessimists like you dislike everything all the time.
