I live near many Indian Reservations.
Tulalip and Stillaguamish being the most prevalent.
These Tribes have very successful Casinos, but still have many that suffer.
The Tribes do an excellent job "Trying to help" all, but some resist.

I teach these children, some are successful, some are not.
BUT, they do NOT "by and large live the same life I do"

Voters on Indian Reservations have difficulty...., those without home computers and printers would have more difficulty... Poorer peop!e would have more difficulty in getting a photocopy of their license to send in with an absentee ballot or ballot request as an example than middle class voters like me and hubby....she's saying those things need to be considered when creating new election law requirements....disenfranchising citizens should not be the goal, nor acceptable.

My mom's sister married a full-blooded Sioux and lived on the reservation. They had no less opportunity than we had. The whole time I was growing up we had no AC, no PC, but my parents always got to a polling place and voted.

My half-brothers and sisters were half Native-American. My mom says I have some Cherokee in me.

But many Native-Americans choose not to vote. It's not because they're too poor to be able to vote. Many of them don't want to participate. But they let them vote if they want to. They have every opportunity to vote on the reservation.
