Zone1 The officer did not murder Floyd, should he get a new trial?

Gee, two white cops murder two black guys in two separate States...and you think neither white cop should be in jail.

Just a coincidence, right?

She didn't murder the guy, neither did the Floyd cops.

She thought he had broken into her apartment, and Floyd died from multiple illegal drugs blowing up his heart that had 3 clogged arteries...

IMHO, Chauvin should have been convicted of negligent homicide.

He didn't kill the guy....the drugs and bad heart did that. You might say he used excessive force, but that isn't murder.

Liar. Floyd's death was determined to be a homicide. Not a suicide or an accident.

Would Floyd have died if Chauvin had not kept his knee on Floyd's neck for going on 9 minutes? My guess is no, not at that time and that means he contributed to Floyd's death. Negligent homicide occurs when a defendant kills another person while engaging in conduct that they should have known carried risks. I think Chauvin should have known the risks he was taking in his conduct vis-a-vis Floyd.

It was negligent, and it was homicide. The lesser sentencing guidelines and previous leniency in convictions and sentencing of law enforcement, as well of the obvious notoriety of this case, likely took that off the board.

Yes......he was already dead.....the heart failure brought on by the illegal drugs had killed him.

Drug overdoses are more like suicide.

That is completely untrue, and I'm not sure you understand this. Based on your posting history it is likely you believe what you wrote.

Nothing the cop did added to his death. He had taken a bunch of illegal drugs that messed up his body, and his 3 clogged arteries just added to the problem.....

If the cops had not been there, he was going to die.

He died after Chauvin's knee was on his neck for about 7 minutes. Chauvin then kept his knee on Floyd's neck for about another 2 minutes. Floyd died being restrained in a position which inhibited his ability to breath effectively. Floyd would have died even had he not had any drugs in his system. Hence, homicide.

Chauvin was choked to death.

Anybody who disagrees should be restrained, forced down on the street, and have a kneel with full force in place on his neck for nine minutes.

Says you, with absolutely no way of knowing that. Coroners who examined him did not say that.

Nope......if Chauvin wasn't there he was still dead. The drugs and bad heart killed him, not the cop.
