The most boring sports

I`d like to try curling, but the Pittsburgh Curling Club is a long drive and of course you have to have reservations. I should have tried it when I was younger.

Big money, big market TV has ruined a lot of sports. Cant just watch games anymore. Every players life story has to be on NBC how they overcame the white man's racism to get where they are today. Eating nothing but day old chicken wings with 11 brothers and no heat in a studio apt.

Now its the poor Latino in Baseball. How they are all featured stars no matter what.

NBC even ruined Golf similarily when they bought the Golf CH.

I've had to quit most of it 100% unless I gamble on it. Then I will work the phone bet site with some games on mute. NCAAF or TMT NCAAB or NFL works pretty well.
No one has hurt golf more than Greg Norman when he took the Saudi`s blood money to start another tour. After 4 years it looks like LIV golf is fizzling out. There hasn`t been a lot of assholes in the world of golf, but he`s definitely one of them.

I'd have to say:
  1. Watching a chess tournament.
  2. Hockey. Sorry, but there is no real strategy there, just split second reflexes to random motions hoping you can capitalize on more lucky breaks than your opponent before the buzzer goes off.
  3. Golf - again, more fun to play than watch; too slow.
  4. Basketball, much the same liabilities as hockey, plus there is all that rubber sneaker squeaking on that wood.
  5. Baseball. Too slow. Not enough action. Also, much better watching live than on TV.
NFL football is the ultimate TV sport because it has all of the camera angles, the instant replay and slow motion, plus the digitized screen graphics aligned with the field.

I just like UFC these days

I love women's curling. I have watched it in the past and just tuned in a small amount to Olympics.

Such grace, dignity, beautiful young girls preening about sliding on ice. No showboats, no dirty play, no endless replays, no flopping.
cute girls with nice figures sliding a heavy weight on the ice when the sweepers try to guide the path, hell yeah I like that
sport! :)

Baseball is exciting for those who are knowledgeable of the sport.

The same can be said for all sports.
watching those sports on tv indeed is like watching watching paint dry.used to be when the sport was not corrupt as it is now and the small market teams in baseball had as much chance to make it to the world series as much as the big market teams, the playoffs and world series were the only games i could sit through.MUCH more exciting to listen to
your team on the radio back then when baseball was fun to watch.

Those sports LIVE are as exciting to watch as the NFL on tv with basketball being the exception, dumbest game ever, but yeah on TV,those sports are boring as hell to watch unlike the NFL.

To me the NFL is best on TV, NBA and NHL are best live, and MLB is best on the radio.

Baseball plays at a pace where you can listen on the radio while doing other things and not miss anything.

I haven't been to a live sporting event this century. The ones I most enjoyed attending were baseball and hockey.

As far as football goes, I try to stay awake watching the Arizona Cardinals games. For most other NFL games, it's mostly checking in during the later portion and if the score is close then I'll stick with it. Otherwise, I'll switch over to YouTube videos. That's much the same with baseball where I'm not interested in the first 6 innings. But I do get a kick out of games that go on-and-on in extra innings. That's very rare now however with the ghost runners.

There are a lot of sports that are boring, especially when you know little about them. I remember as a yoot watching a pocket billiards match on television, telling my dad that it was boring because there were very few difficult shots being made. He explained to me that the ART of the game is controlling the position of the cue ball, so that each subsequent shot IS easy.

Soccer is literally the most popular sport in the world and it is in every way a SPORT, requiring strength, skills, endurance, et cetera, et cetera. BUT it is a terribly boring sport, and the higher the level of competition the more boring it is.

The reason why it is boring is this: for the vast majority of the playing time, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that can happen (other than an injury) that can have any effect on the outcome of the game.

Think about it. On every play in American football, there can be a score. Basketball, 90% of the time a goal can be scored. In baseball, every pitch can result in a hit or a run. In tennis, every shot can produce a point. But in soccer (aka football), if the ball isn't reasonably close to the goal, a point is not possible, and the higher the level of competition, the less time the ball spends in "scoring position."

You could produce the highlights of an entire World Cup competition in a 7-minute video. Maybe 5.

Borrrrrrrrrring.

3 golf, hit ball.......ride in cart, hit ball again, repeat

soccer has action
baseball has skill
basketball annoying action
hockey is pure skill and action constantly
Hockey is dumb because the puck is so small and moves so fast you cannot see anything happening until a goal is already scored and the light goes on!

You forgot the requirement that most of the players must be homosexuals.

Years ago they tried out a gimmick where a colorful line (digitally added) trailed behind the puck. It was really stupid. Real hockey fans hated it.

it's a fast game, if the puck was huge sticks would always shatter
game of speed, finesse
of all sports it takes the most talent
you skate 18 miles and hour with a hard rubber puck on a blade
and keep it there and shoot it
passes tape to tape take skill

shooting, either on the ice or tilt the blade to have it rise, that takes
practice and skill
crosby is a master at lifting the puck up on his backhand around 3 feet high
not something you just learn quickly

15th post
I gotta tell ya, I have no problem following the puck.
LOL, like you watch hockey, if you did everything I said was 100% true
not fake news but you are still too ******* stupid to
understand what fake news is

The term fake news is often thrown around as a political insult, but in a technical and journalistic sense, it refers to a specific phenomenon: false or misleading information presented as legitimate news

It is probably a wonderful sport to play and requires great skill, but as a spectator sport it is worse than anything because you lose the action and are left wondering what the fudge happened!

I really enjoyed playing soccer in college, but I would not waste 5 minutes watching a game today.

I loved playing baseball and softball, but I cannot stand watching 7 minutes of action in a doubleheader that last 7 hours. They have changed the rules in baseball so much I would need a class on the changes.
