Lebron thinks he is the GOAT in the NBA. Do you agree with him?

First, I would love to see the Piston's win it all. But if they can't, I would love to see NY win it all. If they can't, I would like to see Wemby beat OKC. I just don't want to see a repeat of last year. Boring.

I would like to see Wemby win a championship but then after that, I'll be rooting against him every other time after that. That's usually how I am. Happy to see you win one but then don't want to see a dynasty.

The NBA was the best when it was Magic and Bird. No better time than that. Then the Pistons, then Jordan. This was the golden age of basketball. Kareem to Jordan. Or Magic to Jordan. Every other era after that is just trying to live up to that era.

The game's been unwatchable for years! The "gunning," shameless carry/ traveling of the ball, & lack of heart is telling! Players perform when they feel like it! The money's insane! How do you control the actions of your employees if you're paying them enuf to buy you out? :dunno: :p I almost totally started blowing off the NBA w/ The Spurs the last vestiges of any kind of enjoyment in the 2000's! They were boring & the media couldn't accept them over more glamorous teams! Trying to elevate LBJ to GOAT status has been amusing & frustrating at the same time! I haven't trusted the game since that Sac/LA WCF fiasco in '02! Watching Golden St. take a few Chp. w/ Curry was nastalgic as I cheered on Rick Barry & the 1975 team who won way back when! B4 Magic, Bird, & Jordan, the game was troubled w/ character flaws, drug addition, & shady dealings behind the scenes, but at least it was all above board more than now! It's hard to believe anything said & done these days! End RANT!:(:omg:

I have to be honest. I don't know if I agree with you why, but I too find it unwatchable. Even my own team. In the past when the Piston's were good, I knew every player and I watched every minute of every game. Even the years my team wasn't in it, I watched every playoff game. Maybe it's better to root against Kobe and Lebron than it is to not care about OKC?

If you asked me what the star of OKC was I would not be able to give you the correct answer

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Or if I could, I could not tell you who one of his teammates were. That's weird huh?

The game is just as good as it has ever been.

The game is just as good as it has ever been.

For some reason right now it's not. There is no Magic Vs. Bird right now. There is no Jordan right now. The current champs are boring. OKC? I can't name one guy on that team.

What I hope is that the Knicks are for real and they beat OKC in the finals. Do you want to see NY get set on fire? Have that team win a championship.

The "carrying" & "traveling" w/ the ball is laughable! It started w/ Magic way back when! He could be alone & would take 3-5 steps B4 his dunk! It only got worse as time's gone on w/ players like Alan Iverson kvetchin' about, "that's my move" to literally carry while dribbling to fake out a defense! I'm disgusted today watching these so called professionals constantly traveling w/ baby steps B4 releasing the ball, then the perennial playoff losers like James Harden turning the ball over more than scoring! Sir Charles has been beating up on the NFL as they grab for attn. even off-season trying to undermine the NBA! If the game is so good, why is viewership down; even if it's by only me? :p :D:auiqs.jpg::laughing0301:

Lebron has played 23 seasons.

Jordan only played 15.

Imagine what his numbers would have been had he played 8 more seasons.

I thought this was interesting. Lebron is on the list 2 times for game 7's

Historic NBA Finals Masterpieces

LeBron James (2016): Led the Cavaliers to their first title by posting a triple-double: \(27\) points, \(11\) rebounds, \(11\) assists, and the iconic series-clinching chase-down block against the Warriors.
LeBron James (2013): Dropped \(37\) points and \(12\) rebounds to propel the Miami Heat past the San Antonio Spurs. [1]

Michael Jordan is entirely absent from this list because he never once played in a Game 7 during his six NBA Finals appearances.

Now list all the 1st round exits for Jordon and LeBron. Also remind everyone how far the Bulls made it in the POs during Jordon’s hiatus then do tne Cavs and Miami post LeBron.

Who cares? It's optics bro. When Jordan was poppin, he never lost. 6 and 0. No one cares about those other years. Most of them were Bird, Magic and the Bad Boys beating on him. After that he was 3 and 0, took a break, then came back and won 3 more in a row. You can't write that shit.

What happens between SGA and Wemby matters. Who is the better player? Who is the real MVP. Who is a champ and who is a chump.

Lebron tried for over 20 years and got 4. 2012, 2013, 2016, 2020

Meh yawn is that it?

Really? You can’t name the guy who won the last 2 league MVPs?

So random “stats” only matter when they support your conclusions?

I thought you didn’t know anyone on OKC?

So you believe Russell is the GOAT then. He won 11 chips in 13 years.

15th post
Is Lebron or Michael the GOAT in the NBA?
That excludes other options such as Wilt, Russell or Kareem to name a few. I do think Michael is #1 but it's close enough to have a debate. FWIW, Michael doesn't call himself the GOAT. He has said that it's not fair to compare him to players he never played against.

First I have to say SGA. And if I tried to spell it, I'd trash it. Shey Gilgus Alexander. So he hasn't reached name recognition in households like Kobe, Jordan Magic, Bird, Curry, Lebron. Is he as good as they say he is? We shall see tonight. He's certainly on a good team. In an era that might not be all that tough. I mean come on the Knicks in the finals? So the East is definitely weak this year. And the Spurs are so young. And last year who did they beat in the finals Indiana? Weak.

If OKC wins again, I won't say that this back to back team was one of the best teams of all time, even if back to back is pretty impressive.

I'd love to see them play the Celtics the year they won it. Or Milwaukee. When Gianni was popping. Or the Denver team the year they won it. I'd love to put these championship teams up against this OKC team and see who would win.

And they haven't won it yet. I hope, no, I pray, that the Spurs pull this off and guarantee someone new will win a ship this year. New York or Spurs. That would be great. And I'd be rooting for the Knicks but betting on the Spurs. Even if Reggie Miller thinks the Knicks are the favorite to win it all.

Oh yes I am most definitely talking shit and putting shit out of my arse. Smack talking. Sorry but my vote goes to Jordan. We all get a vote right? Is yours worth more than mine? Did you see Jordan? I don't think you did.

How are you such a NBA fan all of the sudden? Caruso. Okay I lied. I know their 6th man because numbers 2-5 suck. Can't name a one of them.

He was helped in Sacramento w/ my Kings way back when! Such a crooked playoff in '02! :(

I feel like SGA has been exposed as a flopper. And his teammates do it too. Jwill did whole show on OKC flopping. In slow mo he showed them doing it and the refs RIGHTFULLY not calling it. But they are definitely floppers. So that we all agree.

So I fee like SGA is not so great anymore. Like when teams realized Shaq couldn't make a free throw. He became a liability at the end of games. There is a term for it. Hack a Shaq. Well now SGA isn't getting 10 free throws a game he's used to getting. That's 10 less points a game for OKC by the refs not falling for it.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the NBA in total free throws made during the 2025-26 season, draining 540 free throws.
