The metaphorical wrecking ball analogy takes a physical form.

Were you asking the same questions when so much of the American tax dollars was going to Ukraine? Supposedly anyways as I don't think that we ever found out.
Yes I was
Ukraine was receiving military aid to fight Russian invaders not building lavish ballrooms

First of all Trump isn't tearing the white house down he's renovating it. Second of all he lives there, and third of all the last time I checked he's the president of The United States and he can do whatever he wants to as he's not breaking any laws.

I think that it looks beautiful.

Yes the current talking point issued for the TDS infused and malevolent left is that "Trump is taking a wrecking ball" to the White House. Pretty much all Presidents leave their particular mark on the White House. FDR installed the swimming pool, eventually covered over for a press briefing room, reopened by Kennedy, then an outdoor pool installed by Gerald Ford along with a tunnel to get to it, Nixon's bowling alley, Obama's basketball court etc.

The ballroom is being built with private donations, including from Trump himself, and based on the attention to beautiful detail in other structures he has built, in my opinion will be a lovely addition to the White House and especially useful for entertaining visiting dignitaries.

Let's see the receipts from the donations.

They all want some kick backs from the renovation permits
To reiterate, it is not his WH to do with as he pleases. Garishly adorning the Oval with gold ornaments is one thing. Illegally tearing down part of the building is another.

Why Is The Left Having Such A Fit About The Ballroom!?

Well, CK, you need to understand the psychology of the situation.

Yeah he lives there, temporarily. Yeah, he is the POTUS, but please don't remind democrats of that fact. What irks them about the ballroom is not whether he has the right, nor even who is paying for it (notice they never complained about the Fed Reserve renovation nor anything they ever do for themselves), what is bugging them is that:
  • Long after Trump is gone, dead and buried, this ballroom will still be around getting rave reviews and accolades for what a great idea and place it was and how magnanimous Trump was in swinging it all on his own nickel. What it means is that forever and a day no matter who is in the WH or the final disposition of Trump, that ballroom will still be there reminding them of Trump and their having to listen to how nice it was.
The Left really thought they had Trump in the summer of 2024 and did not expect at all that he would ever make it back into the WH much less change it forever leaving his own legacy which now they will have to cover for the rest of their lives.

I am sure he got approval from the required source, which is Donald J. Trump.
Trump works for us. He owes us to show he is a good and faithful steward of the American people who elected and entrusted him.
Real Conservatives do not see spending $200 million on a ballroom as fiscally responsible
if that is what he was doing but you being dishonest, you lie and that isn’t all he was doing but you don’t give a shit, if this were Biden, Harris or Obama your view would have supported it 100%.

Me? I think he is okay to do this however we need to account for every dollar and where it came from.

This is the extent of the 'demolition' of the East Wing

Because Trump was able to raise at least $250M in private funds to build it.

That's a full 20% of what the DNC squandered on Harris in just 4 months.
I never saw any announcement looking to raise funds for a ballroom

The money just magically appeared from unnamed donors

Any strings attached?
Any foreign donors

Trump ain’t telling

I wonder what the odds are that he'll put a big TRUMP sign on the new building.

In gold, of course.

Imagine how excited the cult would be. While they struggle to pay for groceries.

The ballroom is certainly classier than a basettball court.
The W.H doesn't belong to Trump who's a ******* sub~human savage. He had no right to do it & his cronies who donated to this monstrosity are complicit in the destruction.
