The metaphorical wrecking ball analogy takes a physical form.

Not a big fan of Trump putting a McD's in the ballroom.

Hillary tweeting about this is priceless.

Only if you have TDS.

We, the American people will own this from the moment it is commissioned for use, despite the fact that no taxpayer funds are being used to get it done. And that is the genius of it. By using private funds, they don't have to abide by David Bacon, so can do it non-union. I love it.
Keep pretending that lie!

First of all Trump isn't tearing the white house down he's renovating it. Second of all he lives there, and third of all the last time I checked he's the president of The United States and he can do whatever he wants to as he's not breaking any laws.

I think that it looks beautiful.

We know that.

We also know that you Trump sheep won’t care when taxpayers get stuck with the bill for Trump’s Folly.
You're obviously afflicted with TDS and intellectually challenged, still, you can't match Moonglow but at least you give him a run for the money he's never had.

Real Conservatives do not see spending $200 million on a ballroom as fiscally responsible
Neither is a $200 million yacht, but the ballroom will benefit the public for decades to come.

I have seen private sources being solicited for public projects in the past

Major foundations, corporations, the public…even children.

Never seen a major project funded by secret donors
Makes it look suspicious
Bill Clinton's jogging track was paid for with private funding.

From under the rock you live under an outhouse in the middle of the woods looks good to you, StinkFinger.
You are just envious and jealous because Trump is making America great again and you are a traitorous little ***** hiding behind a keyboard. LOL go take a bath stinking dumbass

A preservation group is pushing for a pause in the demolition of the East Wing of the White House for a $200 million ballroom proposed by President Trump.

“We respectfully urge the Administration and the National Park Service to pause demolition until plans for the proposed ballroom go through the legally required public review processes,” National Trust for Historic Preservation President and CEO Carol Quillen said in a Tuesday statement.

Trump will not play leftist games. That organization shouldn’t get a dime of taxpayer money. DOGE the entire department.

First of all, Trump ideologues' obsession with "the left" misses the widespread disgust at the contempt for tradition and aesthetic sensitivity. Bling Boy's tacky casinos and his festooning the Oval Office with tacky glitz do not bode well.

His tastes are demonstrably execrable.

A leading historic preservation group has called on the Trump administration to halt the bulldozers tearing down the White House’s East Wing to make way for a massive ballroom.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation, a nonprofit created by Congress to help preserve historic buildings, said Tuesday that the 90,000-square-foot, $250 million event space would “overwhelm the White House itself,” which is about 55,000 square feet...
In a letter to the National Park Service and two administration commissions, Carol Quillen, president and CEO of the National Trust, writes:
While the National Trust acknowledges the utility of a larger meeting space at the White House, we are deeply concerned that the massing and height of the proposed new construction will overwhelm the White House itself — it is 55,000 square feet — and may also permanently disrupt the carefully balanced classical design of the White House with its two smaller, and lower, East and West Wings.
Citing the need for transparency and public engagement, the National Trust urged the administration and the National Park Service to “pause” demolition until plans for the proposed ballroom go through a full public review.
The blowhard's oversized blight will be a statement by powerful corporate forces in which the American people have no say. The anti-democratic message is blatant.

The good news is that the next Democrat president can undo all that Trump is doing, including tearing down the new ball room and restoring the original part of the White House that was torn down. The downside is that taxpayer money will be used to do it.
Well that would be extremely stupid but then again you have to be stupid to be a Democrat.

15th post
The "ballroom" will be 90,000 sq ft. That's plenty of room for Trump to play grabass with his super wealthy cronies for cash, wouldn't ya say?
It will be fitting for a superpower like the United States.
