The Left - “The death penalty is wrong”

Never said I was OK with auto deaths. That's why countless millions have been and will be spent to improve safety, at least until you come up with some way to continue our society without autos.

It's a simple matter to continue our society without taking the chance of killing innocent people.

Never said I was OK with auto deaths.

But it's clear that you are ok with them.

It's a simple matter to continue our society without taking the chance of killing innocent people.

Unless they're killed by cars. Then it's not a chance, it's a certainty.

Should we continue requiring vaccines before children can attend school?
There is a non-zero chance a few children could die as a result every year.

End them now?

For each prisoner executed over the last 25 years, 8 have been released from death row. 1 in 8. For children who have a bad reaction to vaccines the number is 1 in millions.
Polio, Diphtheria and Measels, along with 11 other deadly diseases which killed multiple millions are no longer a major concern because of vaccines. While research is continuing to try to make all vaccines harmless to anyone, we haven't completely succeeded. Until total success, the result far outweighs the risk.

Why were they released?

For children who have a bad reaction to vaccines the number is 1 in millions.

Only 1? Are you sure?

Polio, Diphtheria and Measels, along with 11 other deadly diseases which killed multiple millions are no longer a major concern because of vaccines.

You're excusing a few innocent deaths, just because it saves more than a few?

Until total success, the result far outweighs the risk.

Sounds pretty bloodthirsty.

They were released because new evidence became available.
Yes, I am sure.
I accept the sad fact that medicine isn't always perfect, even though we continue to strive to make it perfect.
Sorry, you've used all my "dealing with heartless cult members" time for tonight. Goodby.

How many were executed over the last 25 years?
How many were released because of new evidence?
Exonerated, sent home or just came off death row?
Why are you sure?

Were the ones that came off death row in Illinois innocent? Link?

I don’t think they have proved it that many times.

Nonetheless, you are saying that “because guilt (proved beyond a reasonable doubt) can’t be perfectly certain in all cases, therefore there shouldn’t be any possibility of ending the convict’s life.”
Jarlaxle

No answer?

Yet again: because the courts have been proven-repeatedly, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over-to not be trustworthy, then the risk of executing an innocent person is simply too high.

Yeah, you do. But the US has the death penalty, whereas most of Europe doesn't, and the US has a higher murder rate....

Does the death penalty work?

That's great. But we are not Europe. We have our own problems and ways of dealing with those problems.

In your view, many very bad and horrible people would get allowed to live.

It's ironic how leftys are against the death penalty, but many seemed to support the killing of the Healthcare CEO. Murdering people you don't like, that's ok? But killing an animal in prison, that's too far?

I’ll take that as a yes. (Your claim that it has happened so frequently remains baseless by the way.)

This does raise other questions.

For one obvious example:

Are you equipped all opposed the abortion on demand?

We were just as sure that every person executed was as guilty as those you listed. We don't execute people thinking they nly might have done the crime. We believe each of them is as guilty as the rest. We only find out later if they were innocent.
In cases where they were found to be innocent, these are the result of someone being stupid.
Solution: don't be stupid!

Now you lie about your lies.
No. I spoke the truth about your lie.

Come clean. Tell the truth. Start with something simple

Just admit that you have exactly zero factual basis of support for your braying commentary about how often the legal system gets it wrong n death penalty cases.

More lies.

Have you not read ANYTHING except your own bullshit, or are you just ignoring it?
