The Left - “The death penalty is wrong”

So, you think the protections we give to all death row prisoners aren't necessary. You are certainly allowed to believe that. You are wrong, but I'm guessing you don't care.

I think Richard Speck didn't need 25 years of "protections".

Quick!! Run put your head in the refrigerator!! Your brain is overheating again. If you think I'm gonna list 200+ names, you're nuts.

You won't even list a couple of the innocent people who are "often executed".

Remember, they thought every one of those NON death row prisoners would not kill again. But many of them have been doing just that, for many years.

So you are willing to GAMBLE with the lives of all those thousands of people whom the imprisoned convicts will come in contact with, plus thousands more outside the prison, whom the prisoner could kill by communiating a hit job. Right ?
Sure. I don't mind letting the prisoners take that risk instead of the general public. I think you've been watching too many Breaking Bad reruns.

He didn't have 25 years of death row protections. He had about 5 years of them and then spent the rest of his time serving his reduced sentence just like all the other prisoners.

Is there some reason why I say something, and then you cHANGE IT into something entirely different ?
Maybe because you're afraid to face up to what I'm saying ?

Once again > So you are willing to GAMBLE with the lives of all those thousands of people whom the imprisoned convicts will come in contact with, plus thousands more outside the prison, whom the prisoner could kill by calling a hit job, right ? Right ?

I didn't change anything. Yes, I prefer to gamble with the lives of prisoners over the lives of the general public. Again, I don't think the story line from Breaking Bad is played out in prisons on a regular basis.

Except for the cocaine and female hormones.

Speck was sentenced to death in 67. Five years later (not that long considering the protections and appeals given to all death row inmates) his sentence was reduced. No idea why his sentence was reduced.

He was initially going to be re-sentenced, probably to death. However, before he was, the Supreme Court issued the Fuhrman vs Georgia decision, effectively suspending the death penalty in the country until 1976.

List the 200 exonerated.

And all the innocents executed.

Stop pretending you care about guilt. You simply want to satisfy your bloodlust-you're not particular how.

Justice is "ha ha, I killed your kid, but I get to live!"?

"Live" in a prison for the rest of your life. Hardly "living", is it?

A lot of people consider living in prison much worse than being executed.

Wood chipper, feet first
Yep, there are some people who deserve the death penalty....but under the anti death penalty group, those people would get to live.

I completely understand not wanting to execute an innocent person, but some animals, whom you know are guilty, need to be put down.

I agree, but some people consider being alive most important.

Sure they do.

But the justice system is about making a deterrent, rather than giving victims' families what they want.
