Regular joe is fine by me, too...although I do liuke to get a good dark roast and grind it myself....

A friend from Cornell gave me a bag of beans from a local NY coffee grower (hard to believe)...called "Leftist." It is good coffee, I am just hoping it is not poisonous.....

Heck yea! I see Shattered never had any good Army coffee...cuz it's anything but flavorless!!
Hell, I swear I saw it walk out of a cup once!:D

That would probably be the case and a half of beer you had BEFORE the coffee..

To me there is nothing worse than a cold or lukewarm cup of weak coffee...it's like drinking dishwater.

I have lots of fond memories of drinking a strong cup of coffee early in the morning out in the field...you could smell it all over the perimeter, too.

I worked with some com guys who would take the finished coffee and pour it back
where the water goes to run it through again.

I've wanted to do that too..I asked a few friends about it and they said..here, take my grinder, it's a pain in the ass and really not worth it.

yeah sometimes you have to do that to get just the right texture.

Dirt???? Why don't you just eat dry coffee???
Silly, you can't just eat dry coffee. Why would you eat dry coffee when a pound of dry coffee can only be shared between a couple of people? Now you take and boil the hell out of that pound of coffee until the grounds turn white and you can get coffee to an entire battalion for a month!

It can be a pain, if you do it every day, but if you only do it occassionally, it is alright. Most "cheap" grinders don't get the right texture for the grounds....you have to make sure you don't get it too fine, unless you are going for an espresso......which ain't bad, either, as long as you don's start with the "half, de caf, latte, milk 2% hold the spooz" talk......

:coffee3:

Morning all. Just finishing the first cup o' joe and not yet really alive....
