One of my favorites goes something like "Pebbles and Bam Bam on a friday night, trying to get to Heaven on a paper kite. Lightening struck, BAM, down they fell, Instead of going to Heaven the went straight to hell....."
Hubby used to teach me these, LOL!

Oh yeah, but a lot of the cadences have been changed due to the new politically correct Army....

Dang, during boot camp as we passed the Femmes running opposite direction inside we would say some really impolitically correct cadences while running in the mornings. I guess we couldn't do that anymore. Very sad.

Got sick before I left for Oklahoma.
Then the day before I drove back to CO. (12 hour drive),
my back started in on me….
Still not over being sick.
Took like… 50 pills this morning, (for back and sickness)
, all it seemed to do is make my throat dry.
WORK SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since my MOS wasn't a "frontline" MOS,
we had women in our platoon for Basic AND AIT!!!
It sucked.

Back in the "old" days, when they first starting integrating women into regular Army units (they did away with the Women's Army Corps) I was a platoon sergeant. I was blessed with a female e-6 and a female Platoon leader (2lt). They both did much to expand my cussing vocabulary. Made me blush more than once!

your religion. Everything is turning into a “NEW ARMY”.

There are no such thing as good old days in the Army. They just seem that way. Today's US soldier is smarter and in better shape than the old soldiers like me were. At least it seems that way to me. Us old soldiers were craftier and better at field craft though.
