I'll cover the two I'm involved in: rental income and interest income, both of which I have earned.

If you think landlords just sit back and collect money, you don't know anything about the rental business. I haven't been on a vacation in over 35 years. Any vacation time from work that I used, I had a lot of chores to catch up to here, so I spent every vacation at home. While most people worked to buy their single home to raise a family, I decided to buy a home and share it with people in exchange for money.

My tenants don't have to worry or spend money to replace a broken window. They don't have to spend money because the hot water tanks took a crap. They don't have to worry if their furnace breaks down, just call Ray and let him handle it. They don't have to take loans out to replace a roof, deal with property taxes, get the driveway repaired. Then there are city issues I have to deal with in order to be a landlord here. Last week we had a major snowstorm, 16 inches of wet and heavy snow. I had to be out there in the cold and wind at 5:00 am to clear the parking lot and driveway. It took me well over an hour as my tenants slept comfortably in bed or were just getting ready to make breakfast.

Interest income: I earned interest (and still am) on my IRA. I worked to save that money for my retirement because I didn't want to be one of those old people on the news one day complaining my Social Security isn't enough. Do you know where I got the money to have my IRA? I worked for it. Instead of spending it irresponsibly on a new car, newest video games, fancy vacations, I saved it so when the time comes and I can no longer do the work of a landlord, that money can take over to supplement my Social Security checks.

Bottom line is there is no such thing as unearned income unless you have a rich relative in your family die off and leave you a bunch of money. All other income is earned because you took the risk, you avoided spending it carelessly, you didn't have a family or children so you can have these things for yourself, you made a lot of sacrifices. Just because you didn't earn money with a pick and a shovel doesn't mean it was unearned.

If you read your own link, none of it goes to Trump personally. The closest they get is it can be used for travel and related expenses to his political goals. The rest goes to the RNC which is common with leftover political donations, or his PAC. It's against the law for Trump to financially benefit personally.

You are right... But Democrats had the gun to their head, to help people at all they needed the cares act... McConnell was the one that add in the Corporate welfare bill. Democrats had to accept that or not help normal Americans.. The bill going through right now has the same amount of Corporate welfare.
