The Kirk “Shooter”

Denying reality? O.K.
FDR made the pilgrimage to secure an oil stake in the ME as France and Britain were well on the way to taking control of the ME oil. SA let us build an airbase to protect the US oil interests.

At that time gold was the method of transactions.

It didn't get real until Nixon eliminated the gold standard and really ramped up weapons and training for SA.....then the Petrodollar was born.

Your video was a little light on detail.

Thank you.

I often try to post as short of a vid. or snip from articles as I can. I am aware that very few folks have the patience to view/read and learn as I do.

Did you just learn about Aramco, or did you look into after our exchange?

You were very succinct in your summation, but that is the gist of it.
We guarantee the SA assets and security, they return by selling to us.

I did hear that some of that relationship had started to deteriorate during the Biden administration.

I've seen and read about the history of the oil industry previously, through documentaries, articles.

I did hear that some of that relationship had started to deteriorate during the Biden administration.
Fist bump.

That's not based in what many of us call reality
Actually it is. Morale in the Russian military is terrible. They had one group that was aggressive, and that was the Wagner Group. They revolted against pootin and paid the price with all of their top leadership assassinated.

So now, you have an army that doesn't want to fight, led by generals who don't know how to fight.

Russia can thank the various gods that no one in Ukraine knows how to fight either.

Again, for the past 4 years, Russia has been very deliberate in not blitzkrieging through areas that voted 9 to 1 to rejoin Russia. The entire war has been a replay of the Battle of Kursk where Russia lets the attacker bleed themselves white attacking heavily fortified positions, then moves forward.

At this point, Ukraine as a nation is an accounting fiction, their birth ration is probably less that 1. The maternity wards are vacant while morgues and ICU are overflowing; it's just an ATM machine.

That's the only reason this "war" continues. People in Kiev, DC and all over the world are making a bloody fortune on it

Agreed.

Just because Russia uses N.K mercenaries, does not mean that Ukraine is not using even more NATO mercenaries.

That argument doesn't prove what these folks think it does.

Russian CAN'T blitzkrieg anywhere. They already control those areas, and no, this not a repeat of Kursk. Not even close.

This is a quagmire far more akin to the battles around Smolensk.

Actually, it does. NEITHER nations own soldiers are willing to die for it. Not any longer. So it is an endless slogan of feeding low trained cannon fodder into the maelstrom.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

They have no interest in blitzkrieg. Now that the US is tied down in a losing effort in Iran, Russia might pick up the pace in Ukraine, but that's doubtful

Iran will end up being a victory. A very big one, with ramifications going on for over a century.

I don't share your optimism, I mean at all

Iran is turning out to be a major catastrophe that's spiraling -- quite rapidly -- into WWIII!

Not even close. I understand your concerns, but in two weeks Iran will have very little left.

They are bringing their neighbors, who hate them, into the war, and when the IRGC is finally destroyed, the Iranian people will become a democratic country.

They HATE the islamist regime with a passion. If given the tools they will exact a very bloody vengeance for the decades of misery and terror they have endured.
