Rashi, the well known Jewish commentator, at the end of Parshas VaYeira feels the need to explain why the "news" Abraham received about his family tree is written right after the Akeidah (or at all). He answers by showing the Medrash which states that once Issac went through the Akeidah, (at age 37) he was ready to marry, so the Torah announces Rivkah's (Rebcca's) birth (she is on the list received by Abraham). Since we know Issac married when he was 40, therefore Rivkah is 3 years old at her marriage.

Tosfos to Yevamos 61b, brings an opposing Medrash which says she was married at age 14.

The Lubavitch Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson (and other Jewish scholars) are bothered by the fact that the Torah calls Rivkah a "naarah" when Eliezer meets her. A naarah in Torah language can only be an older girl above 12 years of age. Otherwise, the Torah would use the word "katanah" if she were really physically 3.

Palestinian Arab leaders can’t seem to make up their minds about the Holocaust. Sometimes they say it never happened. Sometimes they say it did happen, but Israel’s behavior is even worse. And sometimes—such as last week—they say the Jews themselves provoked the Holocaust.
Yasser Abu Sido, a senior official of the Palestinian Authority’s ruling party, Fatah, said on an Egyptian television program on Feb. 23 that “Hitler had obvious reasons” for perpetrating the Holocaust.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 — A graduating student from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is under fire on social media after pictures spread of his Nazi salute on stage during his convocation ceremony.


The graduate also posted a caption on his Facebook account under the name Ibn Ruru in praise of former German Chancellor Adolf Hitler who was responsible for the systematic extermination of more than six million people, especially Jews, during World War Two.


In his page, Ibn Ruru said his reason was to show his support for the Palestine struggle against Israel.


"This Hitler symbol that I style on the sacred UMS stage is because the world is blind and deaf when Jews rule as if Islamic countries are clowns for the world’s entertainment.


"Therefore, in solidarity with Gaza and because of anger, hatred and vengeance towards Jews. Therefore, I thank Hitler for the Holocaust,” he wrote in Malay, hashtagging it #SaveGaza and #Pray4Palestine.


The response among Malaysian social media users has been swift and scathing.


Malaysian Twitter and Facebook users reposted his picture onto their own accounts, but were critical in their comments.
Twitter user Putri N. Balqis @ayypueri appeared flabbergasted by the stunt and was among those who highlighted the controversial picture, saying "I kid you not” to express her shock.


She later claimed the graduate to be a history major.


Other Malaysians were quick to denounce Ibn Ruru and countered his comment, pointing out that as a Malay, the graduate would be in the same boat as the Jews were the Nazis still in power.


"Hitler-praising Muslims always seem to forget that if we had lived under Nazi leadership, we would probably have been persecuted as well,” Syafiqah Othman tweeted under the handle @Sfqomhz.


Ibn Ruru’s post was removed from Facebook yesterday after several reports were made against it for violation of the Facebook Community Standards.

He said that in the October 7, 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood, “we have seen miracle, after miracle, after miracle.” In a previous sermon on November 10, 2023, Taha said that before October 7, the Al-Aqsa Mosque was insulted and disgraced, and it was calling out to the Muslims to liberate it and purify it from the filth it was in, a call that the brothers and sisters in Gaza answered. He continued to say that Allah had promised that the Children of Israel would be humiliated and defeated, and this is what happened to them on October 7. Only two out of 14 mosques distance themselves from the Islamic State. One of the mosques denouncing the Islamic State only does so because the mosque thinks that the Islamic State makes others dislike Islam. TV2 East television station contacted a number of mosques in East Jutland and asked them the simple question whether they would denounce the Islamic State.

A mosque in Horsens took clear and unambiguous distance from IS and called it a terrorist organization. Two mosques in Randers and Silkeborg did not respond. In Aarhus, only one in six mosques say that they distance themselves from the Islamic State.

Three mosques were impossible to get hold of, despite extremely strenuous efforts from the journalist to make clear what the question was, and how to contact him.

Two mosques refused to comment — including the Grimhøjvej mosque (known for recruiting jihadis)….

It would have been the easiest thing in the world for the mosques in this survey to denounce the Islamic State, if that had been what they wanted to do. But they obviously do not wish to.

This trend aligns with the fact that no imams wanted to attend last weekend’s demonstrations in Denmark against the Islamic State.

The TV station’s poll is a harrowing indication of how strong radical Islamist views are in Danish mosques.
