No shit, the Capitol was closed on 5 Jan to the PUBLIC. Politicians are allowed to scheduled chaperoned / guided tours or entry into the Capitol after closing time.

He scheduled the trip, had ID badges for the individuals who were there to take photos of art. He stayed with them the whole time and escorted them out when done...

Unlike Schiff and Steven Colbert's people.

Colberts people were in the building and told to leave because they had no IDs / passes, and were escorted out. They then came back when the building was closed. Actually, absolutely no tours were allowed by Congress Critters due to covid restrictions that began a month and a half before this tour.
