Despite what citygator thinks, you cannot be a Christian and support abortion. He compares his wife's miscarriages to abortion and said he is right to say the miscarriages are not children. However, that is GOD's choice, not theirs. Saying miscarriage is just like abortion is like saying natural death is just like murder.

It is possible for anyone in the Democrat party to be Christian? I guess so, but I would need to know if they support abortion.

My post was in response to the ridiculous claim God causes miscarriages. I'd argue God isnt causing miscarriages or abortions and he clearly has not a lot to say about them since the Bible doest either.

Given that God didn’t write the Bible, I’m not sure I would conclude that God doesn’t have a say about subjects not mentioned or discussed in the Bible. God gave us brains to use.

True but most Christians believe the Bible was God "inspired". If you believe that you should believe God inspired the most important stuff. Heck, Jesus in the new testament said a whole bunch... none of it about abortion. Much of it about how to treat the vulnerable.

You dont have to twist into a pretzel to follow Jesus or the Bible. It’s all very straight forward. When you have to make up stuff - like 7 steps removed meanings you are creating your own religion, not God’s. Let me know how that goes.

This is the same Bible that goes through excruciating lengths to tell you how to build a tabernacle to pray under or which meat to eat or how much you get if someone kills your cow or marries your daughter very clearly.

I agree. Forcing gestation through the barrel of a gun is definitely a human rights issue.
