The Iranian Parliament has just ordered the Strait of Hormuz Strait must be CLOSED.

No really!...They're just a couple months away!! :icon_rolleyes:
don't know what else to tell you pal .. they weren't enriching Uranium to 60% for peaceful purposes .. if you cant accept that then there's no need for me to try to convince you otherwise ..

I guess you missed that part where the CCP unleashed a bioweapon on the entire world, so they could affect the election of one nation, huh?
ohh no ! in didn't miss that at all ! in my opinion the entire world could have made the CCP pay ! and pay dearly !

You are getting more loony as you go along.
Giddy war pig fanboys like you said exactly the same thing to me in 2003....We all know how that shook out.

Enriching uranium to 60% purity is troubling primarily because it brings a country significantly closer to developing nuclear weapons. Here's a breakdown of why:

  • Proximity to Weapons-Grade: For nuclear power generation, uranium is typically enriched to 3-5% U-235. Nuclear weapons, on the other hand, generally require uranium enriched to around 90% U-235 (known as weapons-grade uranium). While 60% is not yet weapons-grade, it's a very short technical step away. Experts indicate that going from 60% to 90% enrichment is considerably easier and faster than going from natural uranium (around 0.7% U-235) to 60%.

  • Lack of Civilian Justification: There's generally no credible civilian justification for enriching uranium to 60%. While some specialized research reactors or naval propulsion reactors might use highly enriched uranium (above 20%), 60% is well beyond what's needed for typical nuclear power plants. This raises strong suspicions that a country pursuing such high enrichment levels has intentions beyond peaceful nuclear energy.

  • Reduced "Breakout Time": "Breakout time" refers to the time it would take for a country to produce enough weapons-grade material for a nuclear bomb if it decided to do so. Having a stockpile of 60% enriched uranium drastically reduces this time, potentially from months to mere weeks or even days, making it much harder for the international community to intervene and prevent proliferation.

  • Proliferation Risk: The accumulation of 60% enriched uranium by a non-nuclear-weapon state is seen as a serious proliferation risk. It demonstrates a country's advanced enrichment capabilities and its ability to quickly produce the fissile material needed for a nuclear weapon.

In essence, 60% enriched uranium represents a significant leap towards nuclear weapons capability, signaling a potential shift in a country's nuclear ambitions and raising serious concerns about nuclear proliferation.

So at any time during the 30 years, they could have already had one of their proxies dropped a dirty bomb anywhere on the planet, leveling any city - but didn't

They could have hired Fauci to make a new bioweapon, but didn't. Oddly the USA, not Iran, helped design the Covid bioweapon.

But the crazed Iranian Mullahs are the threat to world peace?

Just to put a fine point on it; dirty bombs don't level cities, they make them uninhabitable from the radiation.

But yeah, all this.

Iran's parliament has approved the closure of the key oil shipping route Strait of Hormuz after the US bombed three of its nuclear facilities, state media Press TV reported today.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most critical chokepoints, through which a fifth of global oil and gas supply flows.

Just happened so not much more on it for now.....Hopefully it's just blustering from a dying regime.

China, being the primary victim of such a closure, might have something to say about it.

They have threatened that before. They sent their Navy

Which was sunk.

Iran knows if they used a dirty bomb their Nuke program would be decimated .. why would you reveal your intentions with a dirty bomb when your goal is getting nukes .. using a dirty bomb before you get nukes would be an end to your advancement to a nuke .. and Iran may indeed have dirty bombs ..and now that they have little chance of moving to a real nuke they may use a dirty bomb ..

I read the other day where they had 58 vessels in service, all pretty much coastal rated. Maybe a couple of serviceable diesel subs that sound like a loud washing machine to our hunter-killers.

Hell, as far as that goes a helo-launched sonar torpedo would make short work of them.

What's the difference between a nuke and a dirty bomb if the goal is to decimate a city?

Red Sea. Is it open?
