The Inconvenient Truth About The Economy: Democrats Do It Better

Nope. I will coast on your generosity. I need it so that I can trickle down some prosperity to the working class.
Thanks to Trump wages are up rents down, the working class just got the biggest tax cut in history after Biden destroyed their wages with inflation and illegals driving down wages

Just as I said, you don’t care as long as it doesn’t affect you. Typical lefty.

I do care! I am working hard to trickle as much as I can. I just converted my single bay 4th car garage into a gym and screened in my deck just before the frigid air hit NC. Trickle trickle trickle.

Why don't I want to go there? Because I support it in a partisan manner such as yourself?

Like when I said the Russia, Russia, Russia crap was B.S.

I don't join cults unlike yourself.
Oh look, Pnutbag got tired of RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA after 4 years, and claims that means he always called it "crap".

And you expect us to believe that you would give all of that up for your bleeding heart cause? No, you wouldn’t, but it gives you the warm fuzzies to say that you would and it gives you brownie points at parties where all the other “rich” people say, but not do, the same. You do realize that the average Democrat has nothing but contempt for “rich” people, right? Just ask JoeB131.

Its up to the voters not me. The voters want me to have low taxes so I can tinkle on them.. I mean trickle on them. They vote in politicians cutting the top tier income rates... they love taxing investments less than income... who am I to go against their wishes?

Yes, it does actually trickle down the economy. Glad you have figured that out.

When I buy a boat, it helps the boat manufacturers and their suppliers and the overall economy. I’m, not sure why anyone with any sense would believe that would be better served if I gave it to the government to hand out to a person who has decided that it is easier to stay home than work in that boat manufacturing facility or maybe to people who have decided to just walk across our border. It’s delusional thinking, but hey, I am just glad you are finally on board. I don’t want my taxes raised because I already pay quite a bit more than most people make.

Feelings over numbers and facts. OK. Maybe Trump will be the first Republican in 50 years to not oversee a recession and balloon the deficit. Odds are low though. Deficit is skyrocketing.
Aww. You miss Ole’ Stumblebum and the Green New Boondoggle.

It is a very inconvenient truth for the GOP, that since WW2, the economy has performed significantly better under Democrats than Republicans. The exact reasons are debated, but the numbers are the numbers.
  • Economic growth, job creation, and stock-market performance have historically been stronger, on average, during Democratic presidencies.
  • Every Republican president over roughly the last 50 years has experienced a recession during their term.
  • The overwhelming majority of net job creation over the past half-century occurred under Democratic presidents.
  • Deficits widen during Republican administrations and narrow during Democratic ones (often after Democrats inherited large deficits).

Vote with your pocket book next election folks.

The U.S. economy has performed much better under Democratic presidents than Republican presidents in the modern era. In almost every measure of the U.S. economy including total job growth, unemployment, economic growth, manufacturing job growth, manufacturing investment, small business creation, and contribution to the national debt, economic performance is stronger under Democrats. While there are many factors contributing to these trends, the throughline is clear that Democratic administrations consistently help the U.S. economy perform better than Republican administrations.

Lets put that in terms Trumptards can understand:

Carter and Biden how well did the economy do

Biden posted 18% DOW growth in his first year compared to Trump's "amazing" 13%.

Biden also didn't have a recession, unlike each of three Republican presidents before him.

Whoops. Guess what, Trump was correct that economy does better under Democrat administrations and it's still historically true to this day.

Bidens growth was 40% government spending based on debt which means printed money. Inflation crushed the middle class gas was 5 dollars a gallon. Half the new jobs were also government funded. Wages dropped rents went up Biden was disaster for the poor and middle class. Bidens economy was like living off your credit card only paying the interest and braging all your bills are paid. 800,000 new jobs never existed. Biden was so bad his own party fired him.
Expanding government will increase to DOW which helps the rich but kills the middle class

And thanks to Trump and his tariffs, grocery and other prices are up.
But the price of a piece of chicken, a spring of broccoli, a taco shell and one other thing are stable.

Inflation is slowing so tariffs have not had much effect on prices. Manufacturers will lower prices to be marketable. Tariffs lowered the annual deficit from 2.7 trillion to1.6 trillion. Research by the Fed show tariffs dont cause inflation

Ronald Reagan did massive government spending.
So much so, that Reagan tripled the national debt.
tripled the national debt with his spending.

Actually business is saying they can no longer afford to "eat" Trump's tariffs, and will start passing more and more of it along to consumers.

Example: Valentine's Day 2026 is projected to be more expensive than 2025, with total US spending expected to hit a record $29.1 billion, up from $27.5 billion in 2025. This increase is driven by inflation, higher commodity costs (specifically cocoa and jewelry), and increased restaurant pricing,
