The Inconvenient Truth About The Economy: Democrats Do It Better

The cult of the presidency is strong in this one.

The economy is 340 million Americans making billions of economic decisions every day. Not one guy in Washington. He's a powerful guy to be sure. But his impact is dwarfed by the combined impact of everyone else.
I guess it’s just 100 years of Democratic luck and tax policy and banking regulations and trade policies and labor availability and minimum wages and work restrictions and…

I guess it’s just 100 years of Democratic luck and tax policy and banking regulations and trade policies and labor availability and minimum wages and work restrictions and…
And voters only electing them during bad times and then kicking their overtaxing and overregulating butts out when things turn around

It is a very inconvenient truth for the GOP, that since WW2, the economy has performed significantly better under Democrats than Republicans. The exact reasons are debated, but the numbers are the numbers.
  • Economic growth, job creation, and stock-market performance have historically been stronger, on average, during Democratic presidencies.
  • Every Republican president over roughly the last 50 years has experienced a recession during their term.
  • The overwhelming majority of net job creation over the past half-century occurred under Democratic presidents.
  • Deficits widen during Republican administrations and narrow during Democratic ones (often after Democrats inherited large deficits).

Vote with your pocket book next election folks.

The U.S. economy has performed much better under Democratic presidents than Republican presidents in the modern era. In almost every measure of the U.S. economy including total job growth, unemployment, economic growth, manufacturing job growth, manufacturing investment, small business creation, and contribution to the national debt, economic performance is stronger under Democrats. While there are many factors contributing to these trends, the throughline is clear that Democratic administrations consistently help the U.S. economy perform better than Republican administrations.

All true, but maga-turds only believe in "alternative facts" as they see fit

Biden posted 18% DOW growth in his first year compared to Trump's "amazing" 13%.

Biden also didn't have a recession, unlike each of three Republican presidents before him.

Whoops. Guess what, Trump was correct that economy does better under Democrat administrations and it's still historically true to this day.

Biden also didn't have a recession, unlike each of three Republican presidents before him.

And he still added more to the debt than Trump.

BS.

Debt under Trump1 increased about same as under Biden. But Trump policy added twice more 10 year debt than Biden's.

10-year debt? That's hilarious!

How much did Trump save by ending Biden's open ended Green New Deal idiocy?

Why are the majority better off during republican admins then?

trumps' financial planning is based on schemes. Schemes are unstable and unreliable. They are for the short term hoping for rapid ( but unstable ) growth. Not good for a business , let all be based a nations' economy. We are on very shakey ground now. Thanks to trump. We must hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Serious estimates? Bull shit.

Biden added, from Jan 20, 2021-Jan 20, 2025, more debt than Trump, without a recession.

He was a super-duper budget hawk, eh?

Thank goodness Sinema and Manchin stop him from wasting trillions more.

Numbers don’t lie
Depends on which numbers one uses and how they are spun.
Theoretically, the Conservative/Republicans are pro: For Profit ~ Free Enterprise ~Capitalism, which tends to be the Wealth Creation formula.
The Pseudo-Liberal(socialist)/Democrats are pro: Central Control Economics, Government Directed, Socialist Systems; which tend to be Wealth Redistribution formula.

Would imply that real, objective numbers would show in favor of the Right.
Manipulated and distorted numbers/data will favor the Left.

You forgot Bidens 9% inflation in fact Biden was such a failure his own party fired him. Trumps economy is thriving and like Reagan showed the world Carter was disaster Trump is showing the world Biden was brain damaged failure.
DOW over 50,000 and the tax cut havent kicked in yet. We get better by the month and BIdens disaster is fresh in our minds.
I cant be fooled by fool so keep trying. That dog wont hunt

Actually, adding each year's inflation rate under Biden totals over 20%.
Inflation rates are cumulative, add upon those of previous year(s).
Rare is the negative, reduced inflation rate, and that often is short lived and quickly exceeded.

Biden added, from Jan 20, 2021-Jan 20, 2025, more debt than Trump, without a recession.

Again, just more dumb nonsense, if Biden didn't sign even a cent of new deficit spending there would still be 4 trillion dollar debt accumilation.

If you have serious policy analisys that shows something other than Trump1 policy adding twice the deficit of what Biden signed then lets see it, otherwise I told you what to do already.
