The great reset VII: Capitalism for the rich and Socialism for the poor

Churchill said it best: "those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it". Only the powerful politically connected benefit from socialism. There are stories of Stalinist trains filled with all sorts of delicacies headed for Russian dachas passing trains full of starved corpses going in the other direction. Noted socialist politician Bernie Sanders enjoys a multi million dollar residence.
Uh.....trump lives in a shack? Lol

Another Churchill quote: "I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against uncivilised tribes,"

Wow, who knew, only the powerful politically connected collect Social Security and Medicare. 49 million Americans get their power from publicly owned, not-for-profit, utilities and every damn one of them is a powerful politically connected individual. How eye-opening. Nine out of ten Americans that get their water from a public water system attain that water through a publicly owned company or a co-op. I mean there sure are a lot of powerful politically connected individuals in this country.

Donald H, the canuck duck, is beholden to his CCP handlers. He is eager to point the finger at every ill in the US while turning a blind eye to his heeeero, Turdeau. Turdeau is no poor man and enjoys many of the measures of wealth that Americans do.

Here's the story for anyone capable of understanding.

The situation can be saved but for how long?

Maybe you can explain the 40 million deaths in China due to Mao's regime, duck. How convenient that you decline to mention those when you are attacking your neighbors for your commie handlers.

Glad you liked it sparky!
There's still hope, but only in cooperation I think.
I kept thinking as I was watching it of MAD and how it can change everything for the better.

To comment further on 'Changing World Order':

Capitalism can work and the author says nothing to prove that it can't work indefinitely. In fact, he lays out the reasons very clearly on why capitalism has eventually failed.

Could it be that China has at least stumbled upon a solution that could prolong capitalism's functioning for much longer, if not indefinitely.

China's system could be immune to having to face any competition from socialism because it already contains socialist responsibilities. And history tells us that communism is the extreme opposite of fascism, and so China could have built in protections to guard against characters like Trump or the Clintons.

Capitalism in a democracy is recorded in history of failing over and over again. Capitalism can work but can it work in a democracy. America is demonstrating too that it's intent on trying capitalism within a fascist system.

What we seem to constantly have is a definitional conundrum Don.

In that 'western' mentality continually hammers capitalism as the benchmark of freedom

Capitalism has no political stripe, is entirely self serving, as well as being entirely fascist by design

Do you mean as in capitalism?

In that 'western' mentality continually hammers capitalism as the benchmark of freedom
Yes, in a way I guess but shouldn't it be 'democracy' in your opinion? Capitalism to me is about stealing freedoms in the end if it is allowed to run unchecked. I've said time after time that capitalism needs to be moderated and limited with socialist policies.

Self serving is a pretty good way of putting it, I agree.

Fascist? Yes, it can be. You've introduced some new ideas for consideration. I don't think capitalism always has to result in fascism. I would subscribe to capitalism over pure socialism, but with some reservations.

Did the OP purposely reverse the terms? That would work better for me.

Thanks for your thoughts sparky! (radio operator) (Ham?)

Most that pay attention would agree Don

the disparity alone should be proactive

and there we now have , glorious devil in detail Don

myself, when i do engage in such lofty ideals always seek those smarter than I

shouldn't be to hard to find, eh?

"..Humanity will either have to switch to socialism, or for years and even decades to survive the armed struggle of the "great" powers for the artificial preservation of capitalism through colonies, monopolies, privileges and national oppression of every kind.." (c) Vladimir Lenin

Why don't all the "progressives" (sick), Leftists, liberals, Democrats and America-haters move to:
Cuba or
Venezuela or
North Korea or
Vietnam orx

some socialist hellhole in Africa?

Socialism continues to fail everywhere it is practiced. And yet history never teaches those committing the sin of covetousness, wanting what others have.
The rich got that way by selling goods and services people want. They didn't steal it. That's what politicians like Biden and Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi did.

Why don't republicans move to China or Russia, their dear leaders love them.

U.S. President Donald Trump praised Chinese President Xi Jinping Saturday after the ruling Communist party announced it was eliminating the two-term limit for the presidency, paving the way for Xi to serve indefinitely.

“He’s now president for life, president for life. And he’s great,” Trump said, according to audio of excerpts of Trump’s remarks at a closed-door fundraiser in Florida.

“And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll have to give that a shot someday,” Trump said to cheers and applause from supporters.

Eight members of Congress, all Republicans, spent America's Independence Day in Russia.

Seven senators — John Kennedy (R-LA), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Steve Daines (R-MT), John Hoeven (R-ND), John Thune (R-SD), Jerry Moran (R-KS), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) — and one House member, Kay Granger (R-TX), are all in Moscow over the Fourth of July holiday this week for talks with Russian lawmakers and officials.

“Why would we take Ukraine’s side and not Russia’s side? It’s a sincere question,” Mr Carlson asked.

“If you’re looking at America’s perspective, why? Who’s got the energy reserves? Who’s the major player in world affairs?,” Mr Carlson asked. “Who’s the potential counterbalance against China, which is the actual threat? Why would we take Ukraine’s side? Why wouldn’t we be on Russia’s side? I’m totally confused.”

The purpose of these proposals, in lieu of a treaty, is to

erode self-governance by sovereign nations and increase
the authority of global institutions.
