That isn't true.. The first slaves arrived in New Amsterdam from the sugar plantations in Brazil in 1654.
The first blacks were brought to Jamestown in 1619. The Pilgrims did not yet exist, nor did the Dutch in what is now New York. Virginia and Jamestown is where America was founded. And yes, a prosperous black man was one of the first slave owners in America.
Where? Did you read my post? Brazil, is not America. Islands in the Caribbean are not America. Virginia is America. Pay fucking attention.
23 Jewish families from the sugar plantations in Brazil arrived in New Amsterdam with their slaves in 1654.
There was quite a stink. Peter Styvesant was reluctant to admit them and at one point sold their belongings for debts.
