With the use of troops to suppress peaceful protests, and the open support of Trump and his followers, more deaths are inevitable, quite possibly on a scale not seen since the Civil War.

It is doubtful that the US will remain as the world's predominant democracy after our 250 celebration. Our country has ben co-opted by a nationalist, populist, authoritarian cult, called maga. With these devotees, law is what the Dear Leader says. Our country is no longer a beacon of light, but rather a withering shell of a failing governance.

This is best I've felt about politics in the decades I've been following. Trump has made real inroads against Marxism. But the job won't be complete until the leftwing Marxist media arm is silenced once and for all. When that happens, millions of gullible people won't be duped by leftist lies anymore.

We won't have truly turned the corner until people start attending church in the ratio they were in the 1940s and 50s. But again, that can only happen if the leftist media is banned.
